No ones POV
The next morning the assembly had to be postponed for another time for unknown reasons the school day went by fast for everyone just as Toni who was at her locker was heading to class she felt a tap on her shoulder. She closed her locker and turned around startled a bit jumping back looked at the towering buff man in front of her startled she says " Jesus!... oh good morning Mr. Michaels can I help you with something?." She asked trying to catch her breath.
Coach Michaels with a whistle around his neck wearing his signature cowboy at even if it's not the season for it while holding a yellow shirt and blue shorts." I saw your name on the signup sheet I'll see you during 3 period on the track to see if you have what it takes see you in a few hours Rojas." He says blowing his whistle walking down the hallway Toni grabs her books walks to class goes into her photography class and takes a seat next to April Malone.
April with her notebook in hand facing Toni "How did the meeting after school go? I couldn't make it I had an eye doctor appointment and Tori told me you signed up for swim and track did you get in?."
Toni twirling a pen in hand and tapping it on her chin " It went well a poll on the blog about the changes was posted and I didn't make the track team yet but I have to meet Coach Michaels later I'm not sure about swim team yet I couldn't believe a pool was here."
April nods scribbling in her notebook "Yeah it's been here for years but a few years back it was barely used due to funding somehow we got enough to keep swimming but I'm glad track is super competitive here."
Heels echo into the room to get some of the students attention She looks up to see the raven haired southern belle Lacey Evans looking around spotting an unfamiliar tallish clean clean-shaven fairly skinned Asian boy who has slightly jet black hair she hasn't seen before.
Lacey plastering a flirty smile on her face walked up to the Asian boy in front of her with a yearbook on his desk " Hi I'm Lacey I've never seen you before are you new here?." She asked flipping her hair in her British accent that may sound fake but it's 100 percent real.
The boy looks up from the yearbook and looks at Lacey " Yeah I transferred yesterday in between classes I'm Jacob."
Lacey looked down at the yearbook. "Oh really?." Looking up at him with a smile. " And you made it into this class so soon? It takes two years sometimes and it's only for the yearbook committee."
Jacob let out a hissing soon through gritted teeth a bit annoyed with her questioning before he say."Mrs, Smith was impressed with my portfolio and put me here I'm the editor did you need something? What did you say your name was." He asks snapping his fingers trying to sarcastically remember.
Lacey gives him a warm smile not finding his sarcasm funny. " Lacey...Lacey Davies , I came here to check out the yearbook since I heard it's being upgraded with you being the editor, and all I want to know is if you can do me a favor and give some of us cheerleaders and track stars our little section."
