A few days later I was at work with my bruises covered with thick makeup and I was surprised none of the girls asked what happened to my face causing it to swell. I was looking at the stack of clothes I was moving and I ran into the corner of a table with my hip it sent a wave of pain through my entire body and I just froze
" Are you ok Kimberly "
" fine "
I breathed in pain holding my hip for a second then continued with the job and I now had a slight limp. Luckily I only had an hour left of my shift so the pain was bearable but as soon as I clocked out and saw my bike I knew I was it was going to take a little longer to get to Bax's house
' hey getting out of work late '
I texted him and as soon as I hit send I questioned why I felt the need to lie I guess it was to make him worry less about me.
When I got to his place I got off my bike and just stood there for a moment then I heard the door open so I started to make my way up the steps and when I got to the door he was standing there holding a small bunch of flowers
" what's this "
I smiled at him
" I just thought you'd like some flowers "
I took them and took a deep inhale of them and they smelled amazing. He took the flowers to put them in water and I went to take off my makeup because of the amount I had to put on some spots compared to others just felt odd. I was in the bathroom a smear of makeup on my face still and I was just looking at the scratches that were almost healed and the rainbow of bruises and I just nodded at myself. When I got back to the kitchen I found him making some food
" ok who are you and what have you done with my Bax "
" what "
He laughed
" I'm just trying to be nice "
" I appreciate it "
I made my way to the living room and I was happy for the open concept of the house cause I was able to watch him so lost in focus. I was looking at his tattoos for some reason
" hey B where do you go for your tattoos "
" what "
He looked at me confused
" oh umm my sister pretended to be my mum and signed off on it "
He turned on another burner on the stove
" oh ok "
" why "
" I was kinda wanting to get one "
He looked at me
" What are you sure like completely "
" yes "
" ok wait what would you get "
He went back to what he was doing
" nothing bad I promise "
" ok grab my phone and text the guy Luke and see if he has any openings "
I did and then I put his phone face down and just waited and I guess I was tired because I dosed off.

Bax pov
When I was done making us some food I walked to the living room and she was asleep
" hey Vegas hey "
She started to stir but I just let her sleep and I put the food in the microwave to try to keep it relatively warm till she woke up. I put a blanket over her and I went to do some cleaning up in my room.
