Ma: How are you there anak? Kumain ka na ba?"
Me: I'm doing good ma, kumain na rin ako. Kayo ba ni daddy kamusta dyan?
Ma: We became busy sa pag travel, kaya hindi ka namin mabisita. Sorry anak ah, nagtatampo ka na ba?
Me: What? No way hahaha, just enjoy your travel ma. Honeymoon phase niyo yan ni daddy hahaha
Ma: Hay naku Czarina, take care of yourself there. If you're not feeling well or you have a problem I'm only one call away
Me: I know ma, thank you. Kayo rin po dyan mag ingat lagi. Enjoy!
I put my phone on my bag and glanced at Irene. Paalis na kami papuntang grove.
"Let's go Czari"
"Okay"
We went outside. Other employees bid their goodbyes to my boss. We were about to go inside the elevator when I saw miss Charlie walking towards us.
What is she doing here? The meeting's already canceled.
"Czarina" tawag nito sakin
"She knows you?" tanong sakin ni Irene
"Yeah, nakakasabay ko siyang kumain tuwing lunch sa cafeteria" sagot ko
She scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"Czarina, pauwi ka na ba?"
Hindi ko namalayang nakalapit na si miss Charlie samin.
"Ah hindi pa po miss Charlie, may pupuntahan pa po ako" sagot ko
She gave me a smile.
"Really? Can I come with you? Since postponed naman yung meeting today maybe we can hangout"
Natahimik ako sa sinabi niya, parang tatlong beses pa lang kaming nagkakasama tapos aayain niya ako? Ang friendly talaga nito.
"No she's coming with me miss Lee" Irene suddenly said
Agad akong tumingin kay Irene na nakatingin naman kay miss Charlie.
"Uhm excuse me miss Smith but I think your assistant's working hours is already over"
"I know, she's not just my assistant. Can you please stay out of our way?"
Napakagat ako ng labi nang ngumisi si miss Charlie. Wrong move, Irene doesn't like it kapag hindi siya siniseryoso.
"I still don't get it, where are you two going? Sayang naman may plans pa ako" sabi ni Charlie
"She's coming with me to hangout miss Lee, forget your plans it's not going to happen" diretsong sagot ni Irene
I quickly pulled Irene's wrist when the elevator door opened. Nginitian ko na lang si miss Charlie bago magsarado ito.
"Tss I can't believe that girl" singal nito
"Irene...kaya ka lalo inaasar eh, halata ka masyado"
She quickly gave me a deadly glare.
"What? So it's my fault pa? She's rude to me kaya!"
"You're also rude, ni hindi mo nga siya binati"
She let out a deep sigh before leaning on the wall. I smiled and patted her shoulder.
"Stop na, calm down. Wala na si miss Charlie and I'm going with you"
I know she's just like that kasi bigla-biglang may nag aya sakin. She always wants her plans to be perfect and smooth at all times.
Ganun na ganun siya noong grade 10 kami.
"As you should, I am your best friend Czari. She's just...she's just a girl who had the chance to eat with you during lunch!"
I started giggling seeing her face. Para na namang inaway na bata.
"You're right, kalma na ah" sabi ko
"I told you to eat with me kasi, ang tigas ng ulo mo" dagdag niya
Napangiti ako. Ang cute talaga niya kapag nagmamaktol.
"Irene stop na, malapit na tayo sa ground floor" malambing kong sabi
"Fine"
She pouted, yes she did and ginagawa niya yun pag hindi napapagbigyan.
The door opened, she quickly walked away from me. I sighed and just followed her.
Kahit naman magmadali siya ay maabutan ko pa rin, ang laki ba naman ng mga hakbang ko compare to her hahaha.
"Ohh someone's not in a good mood ah" salubong samin ni Ashley
"Si miss Charlie kasi inaya akong lumabas Kaye, nainis tuloy tong isa" sagot ko
"Ah ayaw mo na naman magpatalo Louise kaya ka ganyan?" tanong ni Ashley
"Why would I? I was the first one to ask Czari out!" sagot ni Irene
"Hahaha unbelievable" pahayag ni Ashley
"L-Let's just go" biglang sabi ni Irene
Sumakay na siya sa kotse niya. I glanced at Ashley who did not even moved at all.
"Kaye let's go na" aya ko rito
"I'm waiting for Iris, malapit na siya. Una na kayo"
"But-"
"Go on, Irene knows the place naman. Mukhang need mo pa suyuin sa byahe yan"
"Hahaha I guess you're right, una kami ah" sabi ko
"Sure!"
I went inside the car and put on the seatbelt.
"Irene, una na raw tayo"
"She's still dating that girl?"
"Who?" tanong ko
"My sister"
Pagkasabi niya nun agad niyang pinaandar ang kotse.
"So Kaye's dating miss Iris"
"Yes, are you not surprised at all?" bigla niyang tanong
"Why would I?"
"Because they're same sex"
I made a quick glance at her, I saw her looking at the road.
"And so? What's the matter with it?" tanong ko
"So you don't find it weird?"
Napataas ako ng kilay.
"Do you find it weird Irene?"
"N-No"
That made me feel relieved, akala ko magkakaroon ako ng best friend na may issue sa same sex relationship eh.

Tumingin ako ulit dito, sakto namang tumingin din siya sakin.
"Since I'm also into girls like your sister and our friend" sagot ko

That's the last word she said before we arrived at the bar. Sobrang tahimik niya, and that made me feel nervous.
Was I too straightforward? Does she hate me now? My minds clouded with negative thoughts about it.
