While Irene's busy driving, I'm also busy thinking of her.
I've been working with her for almost a month. Not knowing she's the girl I admired the most in high school. Irene has been a role model to me, she exceeds in almost everything.
Seeing her again feels surreal to me, it's like it has been planned for us to meet again. And now she told me something that I did not expect to happen. She likes me. She wants me to be hers. She told me she will do everything to capture my heart.
I stared at the lady beside me. Her blue eyes struck by sunlight made it shine. I smiled knowing she's the prettiest in my eyes. Always been and always will.
(Flashback)
"Czarina why do you keep hanging out with that girl? She's so boring kaya and maldita"
My smile disappeared hearing what he said. Paxton has been bad-mouthing Irene ever since I moved in their section, halos araw-araw tinatanong niya ako ng ganyan.
"Shut up Paxton, Irene is not boring. She's cool, smart and kind unlike you. Cheater, bully and inggetero tsk"
Muntik pa niya akong itulak pero dumating na si Sir Manalo.
I went back to my seat and saw my best friend reading something.
"Looks like he really likes you Czari, why don't you give Paxton a chance?"
Napataas ako ng kilay sa sinabi niya. She gave me a smirk and closed the book she's been holding.
"You know that I hate him, Irene he's bad-mouthing you again"
"Let him be, just don't mind what he's saying about me"
"But-"
She smiled and held my hand. I suddenly felt warm, her hand is too soft.
"You know me Czari, you know what he's saying are not true. He just wanted to gain attention"
"G-Guess you're right"
"Don't mind him again, give your whole attention on me lang"
"On you?"
"Yes, he's not your friend and I am your best friend so your attention should just be on me"
"Okay"
I was too young to not realize how close we are. I thought I am protective because you're my best friend but there's more than that.
"Irene how's the feeling of having a lot of admirers? Every intramural na lang lagi ka nakakatanggap ng roses" sabi ni Kaye
"I don't care about those stupid boys Ash, I want to go home" sagot naman ni Irene
"Do you hate roses that much?" tanong ko
Tinapon niya kasi yung mga roses sa trash bin. She looked at me as if I asked her an irritating question.
"No. But I'm sick of receiving them every year, let's go na nga. I want to go at your house"
"Beshy akala ko ba you want to go home na?" tanong ni Kaye
"Hindi naman kami na inform na house pala ni Czarina ang tinutukoy mo" singit ni Sophie
"What? Czari's house is also my house, that's what Tita Rina told me last time" bwelta ni Irene
