Iron. That's all it smelt like. The smell of blood permeated the surrounding area as bodies lay on the ground, strewn about every which way. Among all these bodies stood one, a teen girl dressed in a beautiful purple kimono now stained red stood weak. Her body was completely and utterly broken, taking most of the damage to protect the woman looking up at her.

Amane's plum eyes shook with both horror and shock as the girl wore a fading smile on her face.

"...(Name)..." The voice came out shaky and almost too quiet to hear. The girl in question coughed out another pool's worth of blood, the force bringing her to her knees. "Thank...goodness...y...our..saf..." time itself seemed to slow as her upper half gave out; the pumps of adrenaline leaving every inch of her body and leaving her to look like a sack of broken bones.

Amane quickly moved forward and caught the girl, not wanting her to suffer anymore damage than already done.

"(Name) just hang in there, I'll get you some help."

Aoi released a sigh as she sat the basket of clean sheets onto the floor. Shivering at the cold winter air biting at her skin, she quickly pulled the door shut. Leaving the basket near the door, she made way to the kitchen with the intention of warming up.

"It seems to get colder everyday."

Starting the fire underneath the stove, she began preparing herself a cup of tea. 'That reminds me, I have to make sure the patients rooms are warm...'

Blankly she stared at the warming pot of water until a sudden barrage of yells entered her ears.

"Kyaaaa!"

"S-shes awake!?"

"Aoi-san! Aoi-san!"

From around the corner came Sumi, Naho, and Kiyo; all three were screaming and it looked as though they'd seen a ghost.

The three came to a stop infront of Aoi and began talking, each talking over one another and confusing Aoi even more.

"Okay, okay. Calm down you three." Hushing the girls, she looked at Kiyo.

"Now, could you tell me why you three are freaking out?" She asked.

Kiyo nodded, pointing at the hall they came from she spoke. "I-its (Name)-San! We walked in to make sure her room was nice and cozy but were scared when she suddenly shot up from the sheets!"

Sumi and Naho nodded, one butted in "yea, yea! She looked at us with wide scary eyes!"

"Mhm! And she started making weird noises with her mouth!" The other shrieked.
