"Ack-", feeling the air leave her body, (Name) wheezed as she tried to catch her breath. Her vision was still dark due to the blindfold she was wearing and her body felt sore all over. She's been trying to get through the course for about a week now but has been unsuccessful every time.

Letting out a frustrated huff, the teen allowed her body to go limp for a moment. Enjoying the cool touch of the grass and dirt as the sun beamed down onto her body, she contemplated if she could get a quick nap.

'Maybe if I pretend to be knocked out...'

Hearing something approach, the sudden lack of sun alarmed (Name) of someone's presence.

"...Yūkan?" She called out.

No response.

Furrowing her brows, (Name) wondered if a trick was being played on her or if she really lost her mind after falling off the course this time.

"Oi, brat."

Hearing this new and unfamiliar voice, (Name) pursed her lips as a sudden wave of unease over took her body. Laying completely still, she wondered if she could get away with playing dead or being knocked out.

'As if playing dead would do anything-'

(Name) let out a groan as she sat up and pulled the blindfold from her eyes, the sudden introduction of light caused her to let out a hiss in irritation. Another hiss followed after her's, but it did not come from her mouth. Looking up at the newcomer, she took in his appearance. He was short, about the same height as Shinobu or maybe even shorter, had choppy short black hair and bandages covering the bottom of his face. The thing that caught her interest though happened to be the mismatched eyes he possessed.

One was a beautiful bright gold, and the other a deep shade of green or some sort.

"Are you going to keep staring like an idiot?" He snapped.

(Name) scrunched up her face, 'Rude..'

"Where's Shinazugawa-san?" The mysterious man asked with impatience running throughout his body. (Name) did not answer and instead stared dumbfounded at the man. Not because she was stupid or anything, but because she truly did not know where her mentor was.

"Uhm...gone?"

Feeling the twitching of his eye, the man crossed his arms, "Well I can see that dipshit, but gone where?"

"Hssss"

(Name) hummed as she observed the albino snake on the man's shoulders. "I don't know. Somewhere?" She carelessly answered with a shrug. "Hey, that's a pretty cool snake you have there-"

"Forget it. I should have known better than to ask a child such as yourself. Carry on being an idiot on the ground, I'll find him myself." Turning away from (Name), he waved her off as he began walking away.

(Name)'s mouth fell open as his words replayed within her head. "Hey! What's your problem man?! You can't just walk in here like you own the place and be all rude!"
