Jungkook stood there with his mouth hanging wide open.

Yoongi had just told him everything that had happened today, and he couldn't believe it.

"They know about Sam, then." The student slowly sat down on the couch, on the cushion next to the one Yoongi was occupying. "They must know he's Namjoon's dog. But... why do they care so much about getting him back? It's not like Sam can talk to them and explain what happened to his owner."

"I don't know why either." Yoongi reached a hand out, scratching the puppys head. Sam was laying on the back of the couch, stretched out. He had gotten two bowls of food today and three bone shaped treats, and was now dozing in a food coma. "But I don't like how aggressive they're being in trying to get him back. I mean, he's just a puppy. It doesn't make sense."

Jungkook nodded. "When Namjoon gets found, we'll return Sam to him. But only to him."

"I still wonder why he's missing." Yoongi murmured, thinking. "I looked online to see what was being published about his disappearance, but nothing came up, other than that article I first showed you."

"That's odd." Jungkook curled his legs up and pulled out his phone. "Let me see if I can find that article again."

After a few minutes of typing, Jungkook's heart sank. "Yoongi... the article is gone."

"What?" Yoongi's tone was sharp, quickly scooting over to look at the boys screen. The search engine was showing no results. "But how can that be? Why would they delete it?"

Jungkook felt his blood run cold. "What if... they didn't? What if someone else did?"

"You think the police did?" Yoongi raised his eyebrows.

Jungkook shrugged. "I don't want to believe that, but who else could it be? Maybe they don't want people to know he's missing, for whatever reason."

"That would explain why there was nobody investigating his house." Yoongi put the pieces together. "And why there was only one article written about it, and why that article is gone now."

"Why would they do that, though?" Jungkook frowned. "I mean, who is Kim Namjoon?"

Yoongi sighed deeply, facing the sleeping puppy again. "I wish you could tell us, little one. Who is your owner? How is he like? Did he run away? Were bad people after him? Did he commit a crime?"

Sam yawned, waking up from the warm hand petting him. His tail started to wag as he sprung to his feet.

Leaping onto Yoongi's lap, then to the couch, then to the floor, the puppy picked up his crab toy, squeaking it excitedly.

The two watching him smiled, always endeared by the little fluff ball.

But then their little fluff ball started to look a little different.

The white fur started to shrink, and the puppy began to grow.

Jungkook and Yoongi's smiles slowly faded, being replaced with wide eyes and open mouths as they watched in shock as Sam grew and grew.

The fur was gone- replaced by cinnamon skin. The tail had disappeared, the puppy ears and paws and nose as well. Instead, a beaming face with iconic dimples smiled at them, crab toy still in the boys mouth. Black hair swept over the boys forehead, highlighting a pair of auburn dragon eyes.

Little puppy Sam was gone, and in his place sat a naked, six foot tall boy that looked familiar. The same face that was on the ID.

Kim Namjoon.

Namjoon spat out the toy, showing off his perfect white teeth as he smiled at the humans.

"F-friends liked Joonie's sur- surp- sur-... Joonie's trick?!"
