Though Yoongi didn't think it was necessary, he pulled up the dial pad on his phone and typed in 911. He didn't press call, and he hoped he wouldn't have to.

He thought it was cute how Jungkook cared for him.

He thought about what it would be like to share a bed with the attractive student.

Yoongi followed the directions on his phone to the restaurant and picked up his order of three Styrofoam to-go boxes, double bagged in plastic.

He didn't need the directions to get back to the hotel, and pocketed his phone. He hurried down the sidewalk, wanting to get back to Jungkook and Namjoon as soon as possible, even though he had only been gone for roughly ten minutes.

He stopped at the busy intersection and waited impatiently for the cars to stop and for the walking light to turn green.

Through a brief break in the cars, Yoongi looked across the street and froze in his tracks when he saw a familiar face.

The man with the Doberman; Killer. The man who had come into the vet and questioned Yoongi about 'Sam'.

The dog was staring intently at him, straining at his leash.

The owner followed his dog's gaze and spotted Yoongi.

Swearing, Yoongi quickly backed away from the corner and took off running the opposite way. The food was dropped and abandoned.

Behind him, the light turned green for pedestrians, and the powerful dog plowed through the crowd of people. Killer barked, yanking the man along as he pursued his target.

Yoongi raced away from the hotel, not wanting to lead the man right to Namjoon and Jungkook. At first, he wanted to hide among the throng of people and try to hide his scent from the Doberman, but dodging all the people only slowed him down.

The doctor quickly threw himself into a dark alley, praying that the man and dog would run past him.

Catching his breath, Yoongi slowly walked backwards, keeping a hand on the brick wall to balance himself as he carefully watched the strangers pass by the opening.

A few tense moments unfolded into tense minutes, and then he started thinking he might be safe.

Cursing about the wasted food, Yoongi's hand shook as he pulled out his phone. He deleted the 911 number and pulled up Jungkook's conta-

"Ahh!" Yoongi screamed when a great force suddenly knocked into his back. He flew forward, barely catching himself with his hands before he could hit the cold, hard ground.

The heavy weight pinned him down, and Yoongi heard growling and felt claws digging into his shoulders.

He struggled for a moment, but then the growling was right next to his ear, and Yoongi saw a flash of sharp teeth near his neck.

"Good boy, Killer." A voice said, and casual footsteps slowly got louder.

Yoongi's heart pounded, knowing he was caught.

The man's shoes entered Yoongi's limited vision, pausing for a moment before he squatted down to see Yoongi's predicament more clearly.

"Doctor." The man acknowledged, pulling a piece of gum out of his pocket. He unwrapped it and bit off a piece of the stick.

Yoongi didn't know what to say, so he stayed silent and tried to think of how he was going to get out of this.

"You're pretty calm for a dead man walking." The man noted. He shrugged. "I like that though. Better than annoying screaming and begging."

"I would never beg." Yoongi snapped.

The man chuckled. "Everyone begs once they're pushed past their breaking point."

"Is that what you're going to do to me?" Yoongi glared. "If I don't take you to Namjoon?"

The man placed the rest of the gum stick on his tongue and chewed it until he could blow a bubble with it. It popped, and he answered.

"I don't need you to take me to Namjoon. I know where is he is. Curled up on a bed with that student. Hotel StayInn, room 305. Floor five."

Yoongi's panic flooded into terror. "D-don't..."

"Thought you weren't gonna beg." The man raised his eyebrows.

"Please-" Yoongi thrashed under the heavy dog, and Killer nipped at his neck to make that stop.

Yoongi winced, feeling the sharp canine teeth knick his skin, drawing blood.

"Killer, settle." The man commanded. He cocked his head as he looked at Yoongi. "Surprised you haven't asked yet why we're out here with you instead of busting into that hotel room and taking back what's ours."

"Leave him alone." Yoongi closed his eyes, focusing on taking steady, calming breaths. "He's just... a kid."

"He's much more than that and we both know it." The man corrected. "And besides, I don't have an opinion on what happens to him either way. My job is just to locate him."

Yoongi opened his eyes, studying the man. "Who are you?"

"Kang."

"That's it?"

"That's all you'll ever know, doc."

"So... why are you out here with me instead of in the hotel room to kidnap Namjoon again?" Yoongi asked.

"To let you know something." The man blew another bubble until it popped. "The man I work for has vast resources and unfathomable assets. He has powerful connections and dangerous friends. Wherever you think you can go to hide, you can't. You will always be found. You can never run away from him." He pointed in the direction of the hotel. "At any moment, he could have the hotel raided and drag the kid out and transport him far away before you can even dial the police."

"Then why isn't he doing it now?" Yoongi spat, shifting under the uncomfortable weight.

The dog growled at him, and he went still immediately.

"You can't figure it out?" Kang raised an eyebrow.

"I don't care what the reason is." Yoongi glared. "I just want you to leave him alone. He told me horrible things you do to him in there, he doesn't deserve that."

"I didn't do anything to him." Kang reminded him. "Like I said, my job is just to locate him. Which I have. But my orders are to extract him quietly, and without anyone noticing. And since he's on an upper floor of a popular hotel with you and that other loud mouth, that complicates things for me."

"So you're stuck." Yoongi realized. "You can't barge in there and take him away forcefully, because that'll draw attention to him. And attention on Namjoon, what he really is, is the last thing your superiors want."

"Bingo." Kang blew another bubble.

"So that's why you attacked me." Yoongi almost smiled. "Because you can't get to Joon or Jungkook."

The man shrugged. "I don't really care about that, to be honest. I get paid hourly whether he's captured or free."

"Then just let him be free!" Yoongi pleaded. "He's a genuine, kind hearted boy. He deserves to live a normal life!"

"That's not up to me." Kang didn't care. "I'm here to pass on a message to you. From my boss."

"If you're wanting me to bring Namjoon out to you, I won't." Yoongi told him. "Ever. No matter what."

"You sure about that?" Kang asked.

"Definitely." Yoongi glared.

"You see, my boss had a feeling you would say that. So he told me to tell you this." The man leaned in close, making Yoongi's heart pound.

"Give us Namjoon, or else you'll be taking his place."
