Mingyu was exhausted after the meeting he had with his company and editor. If he could he would have never bothered to be there in the first place to exhaust himself. "Maybe I should have learned a bit of tricks from Jihoon hyung," he muttered under his breath, driving through Seoul city in the middle of the night with hunger and sleep deprived.

He entered his apartment that was isolated for a few hours. He was going to throw his bag pack on the couch only to be stopped as he remembered his precious laptop was still in it. "Can't afford to break it again," he sighed, putting it down carefully, plugging his phone in the charger before going to take a shower this late.

He sighed in satisfaction as the hot water droplets fell on his toned and tanned body washing away the exhaustion of the day. It didn't take him long to finish his late night shower. He wrapped his lower half with a towel before exiting the bathroom, drying his long black hair with another towel, making his way towards the bedside table to pick up his phone to check if any important message was yet to read.

There was nothing important so far but still a curved smile made its way to his mouth as he saw a particular message. He decided to get dressed first before replying to the person whose message was enough to lighten up his mood. He quickly grabbed a sweatshirt and a pair of loose pants to change, throwing away the towels he was using just a few seconds ago as if he never needed them in the first place.

He took his phone and ran downstairs, trying to find something to eat at the moment as he was too lazy to cook something for himself this late. He found some sandwiches he had made this morning only to forget to eat them then. He took a bite of it, making his way towards the couch, opening up his phone. The wallpaper was a picture of them three when they were still in high school. He rubbed his finger along the person's picture whom he wanted to have all by himself, whom he wanted to cuddle with and share all his happiness with but here he was just staring at a picture of the person who would never return his feelings.

He scoffed at himself, plopping down on the couch with his sandwich. He took another bite before opening up the messages. Most of the messages were about wishing him luck for his next book he would be publishing this year and for which the meeting was held in the first place. He thanked them all one by one before opening up the particular message.

Hyung🖤

Mingyu-ah
Take care of yourself
Tell me how your meeting was
Text me back when you see it

"Plain as ever," Mingyu scoffed, shaking his head in adoration for the older boy. He typed with a smile that only showed how much he was in love with the person he was texting to.

Gyu

It was good
Wait
Maybe better
Hehe...

He knew he wouldn't be getting a reply this late as it was already past 2am but he still looked at the screen, hoping maybe he would get one. He was going to close the app only to be stopped that he still had one unread message from his other best friend. He smiled as he opened up the text.

Rim-Rim

Buddy
I missed you in today's hangout
😭😭
Meh, didn't
😈😈

🔗 link#$__&_$

We had so much fun without you
🤪🤪

He couldn't but laugh at the texts only to be choked on his sandwich. He coughed loudly as he ran towards the kitchen to get himself some water. He sighed once his choking was done. He quickly typed his reply.

Gyu-Gyu

Do I look like I care
😒
Go to hell
😉😈

He then clicked on the link only to find some funny pictures of her. In most of the pictures, she was sticking out her tongue like a little kid but instead she looked beautiful as ever. But his heartbeat came to a halt when he saw a picture where she was on Wonwoo's back, riding him.

He didn't even notice when his tears were running down until a teardrop made contact with his phone screen. He rubbed off the tears from the corner of his eyes. "C'mon, Mingyu, be a man. Don't be a pussy," he scolded himself as he again rubbed off the tears with the back of his hand he was holding the phone with that were falling from his eyes.

It wasn't like he wasn't invited. He was from the day they made a plan to hangout with each other but he forgot about his meeting that would also be held on the same day. So, he had to raincheck. Wonwoo and Hyoo Rim both wanted to cancel it too but he was the one who insisted that they should go and he would feel bad if they cancelled it for him. He also wanted them to have some alone time too, without including him. Because, he knew how much they both liked each other.

He typed another message to her, trying to be as carefree and casual as possible.

Gyu-Gyu

You look so funny
🤣🤣
Gonna use these pictures as memes
😜😜

He sighed, feeling broken hearted that he always was. He trudged towards his bedroom, not having any energy left in him after his sudden mood swing. He plopped down on the mattress, burring his face on the pillow with a heavy heart that he had been carrying for years. But soon he fell asleep as the exhaustion finally got to him that he didn't hear the ding sound coming from his phone.
