Hyoo Rim was looking forward to their hangout today. She purposely chose to go to the amusement park. It was one of those places they all cherished together when they were young. It also was the place where she had fallen for her best friend. It also was the place where Wonwoo had given her the most cherished thing he owned, his trilby hat. But those memories were something for her to cherish, right?

But all her joys came crashing down in a span of mere seconds when she received a text in their group chat from none other than her best friend, Kim Mingyu, saying he wouldn't be able to make it. She knew the other boy was avoiding them purposely, trying to give them alone time to spend which she would have been grateful for if he wasn't also in love with the person she loved. But her face brightened up as she received another text from her best friend.

Gyu Gyu

Oi
Didn't you say you fell for him
in that place?
Take this opportunity
to confess to him
Don't waste it
😤
Best of luck
😉

She couldn't but grin from ear to ear knowing her friend was rooting for her. So, when Wonwoo offered to go inside, she happily skipped her way, pulling him with her by interacting their hands together. They went on different rides, especially the dangerous ones, shouting their lunges out as they enjoyed.

But whenever she would look at him in the eyes she felt like something was missing but she couldn't figure it out. It was like he was there with her but wasn't there at the same time. But she would shrug it off thinking it was just her mind playing tricks on her. She was positive that today was the day she would confess to him about her feelings for him, today.

The day went by way too quickly for her as they were standing in queue to get into the Ferris Wheel. "Woah, the sky is so pretty!" she exclaimed, looking at the sky which was colored so beautifully by the setting sun, making the boy beside her to look in her direction. "Yeah, it is indeed," Wonwoo said which came out like a sigh, looking at the same sky as her but his words felt so distant to her for some unknown reason. She couldn't help wondering if she was really hallucinating the whole thing.

Soon, it was their turn to get in as the workers hurried them to go inside. She felt the bubbles inside her stomach increase every second passed by while going up. She calmed herself down as she saw they were already reaching the highest height the wheel could reach. She prepared herself to confess as she looked at him with determination.

"If Mingyu was here it would have been more fun," Wonwoo said, looking outside, watching the pretty sky. She felt like her world just came to a halt as she heard what the boy in front of her said. 'Not today' were the only words she told herself before plastering a smile on her face that screamed she was fine which she really wasn't. "Yeah, it would have been," she replied, with the same fake smile.

The dinner went pretty well, not fancy at all, just like a simple dinner between friends and that's it. But to keep the conversation going, she kept on praising the food saying it was really good that she would like to have it next time too. But the other male still didn't show any interest in joining in conversation which eventually made her shut and soon they were in front of her apartment building.

She got out of the car without saying a single thing until she halted, turning on her heels, bending down a bit to look in the eyes of the male she was in love with. 'Last attempt' she encouraged herself before pouting a bit. "Today went too fast," she started before suggesting the next thing, "Why don't you come in for a drink?" She could see the other boy having trouble inside him as he was hesitant to reply.

She pulled away knowing that the other boy wouldn't reply but stopped as felt a hand over her head, ruffling her hair tenderly, making her feel butterflies inside her tiny stomach that was about to burst out in happiness. "Not today, some other time," he said, making her come back to reality. She couldn't but pout as the boy pulled away his slander hand off her head but at least that was enough to make her day better.

"Go inside. Don't catch a cold," he added, rushing her up which she did but the want of teasing the older boy increased as she playfully stuck out her tongue at the said boy who replied by beckoning to beat her up, making her chuckle before she went inside.

She whispered something to herself, leaning against the cold metal of the elevator, clutching her purse against her chest before closing her eyes.

"It is enough. You're enough."

A/N: Sorry, I'm late 😭
