Mingyu wanted to hide himself not only from his best friends but also from the whole world which seemed worthless to him at this point. He constantly reminded himself how much he hated himself and how much the person he loved with his whole heart hated himself. But a phone call was loud enough to get his attention from his own downgrading session he was having with his mind.

He wanted to throw his phone away as it was constantly ringing beside him but a peek at the caller Id was enough to make him teared up. He picked up the call, bringing it to his ear with his shaky hands as tears were constantly rolling down on his cheeks. "Mingyu-ah," he heard his name being called softly which made him choked up again as tears brimmed down. "Hannie, hyung," he cried out as he clutched his phone tightly against his ear.

"Mingyu-ah, I'm on my way, okay? I'm coming," the said male replied who only heard loud sobbing sounds from the other side of the phone. Soon, the apartment door opened revealing a worried Jeonghan and Seungcheol who were breathing heavily as they might have run to the eighth floor of his apartment. Mingyu couldn't but burst into tears as he saw the males standing in his apartment.

Jeonghan launched himself at the younger, pulling him into a tight hug to reassure him that everything was okay and so was he, but was he? Seungcheol just rubbed his back to calm the taller male down who was bawling his eyes out on the shoulder of his Hannie hyung's shoulder, not even sparing a glance at the other boy who was also trying to calm him down.

"I messed up, hyung," Mingyu sniffled in Jeonghan's shoulder after he had calmed down, taking the offered hot choco from the other hyung with a small thanks. Seungcheol kept the other cup in front of his lover before sitting on the opposite couch of them. "You pretty much did," he said in a matter of fact tone as he took his seat only to be glared by his lover. But it also broke his heart that the younger didn't argue back like he always did with Seungcheol as if they were tom & Jerry in their previous life.

"It's ok, Mingyu-ah. You're brave and I know you both will talk this through," Jeonghan reassured as he patted his long hair, running his slender fingers along the black locks which were his motherly instincts he had grown over the years as he took care of twelve kids all by himself. But Mingyu shook his head in response before getting up from his lying position from his mother's lap to look him in the eyes.

"Hyung, all he needs is a little push and I'll give it to him. That's for the best, for him and for me too," he said with a smile that didn't show any excitement nor happiness only showed consolations but to himself only. "You're gonna give up this easily," Seungcheol said in a tone that clearly showed that he was holding himself back from beating the shit out of him so that the other boy would stop being a stupid.

"Wasn't that my role from the very beginning of this story?" Mingyu scoffed bitterly which made Seungcheol's heart clench as he would always want the best for his friends but here he was, sitting quietly like a dumbass, not having any power over someone's mind nor heart, all hopeless and pathetic. Maybe Jeonghan knew what he was thinking as he walked to his boyfriend, squeezing his shoulder which helped the other to relax in his hold as he put his hand on top of his Jeonghan's, squeezing it back to reassure him that he was okay now.

"You know, I'm thinking of making a book on you guys," Mingyu stated, looking at the couple with so much seriousness that amused the other two. "When did the mystery thriller writer start to write a romantic one?" Jeonghan asked in amusement which brought out a chuckle from the younger after a long time which somehow melted their hearts.

"Heart break does make one do the thing he never thought about," he said, chuckling to himself as if it was one of the best jokes he had said this year but Jeonghan & Seungcheol knew how much pain was remaining there underneath the fake laugh as they made a brief eye contact which showed nothing but worry for the younger.

"Yeah, whatever," Jeonghan said, playfully rolling his eyes to keep the atmosphere light as he walked towards the younger before slumping down beside him. "I'm hungry," he whined, hugging his toned arm making Seungcheol scoff bitterly at his lover and making Mingyu giggle at his hyung's jealousy which always made Mingyu think that Seungcheol actually was cute which he had always claimed to be.

"What do you want?" Mingyu asked as he got up from the couch, looking at the said male who acted as if he really was thinking something before giving an angelic smile (Jeonghan's claim). "Mingyu special," he said, winking at the younger before leaning backwards on the couch to find a better angle to sleep in until the food was ready. Mingyu just sighed, shaking his head at his hyung before shifting his eyes at the other hyung who was just going to run away if he hadn't looked at him.

"You're coming to help me," he said sternly before walking towards the kitchen. "You always do that with me. You love Han more than me," he heard Seungcheol whined which made him chuckle. But he was glad that his hyungs were there for him at least, worrying about him. He was thankful to the universe for giving him these friends who would always be with him no matter what, in poorer or in richer, Always.
