"FUCK MY LIFE," Hyoo Rim cheered (mostly shouted) throwing her hand up in the air that was holding the cup of shoju she just gulped down, standing on the chair while one of her foot was on the table, making the customers of the open restaurant they were sitting in. Wonwoo and Mingyu both spitted out their drinks, looking into each other's eyes for a mere second before pulling her down while muttering several apologies to the people who were still looking at them with squinted eyes.

"Calm down," Mingyu hissed in a low tone which sounded like he was growling at her as he clutched one of her arms so that she couldn't escape from his grip and do weird stuff. She whined shaking her head as she looked at her other best friend for help who mildly glared at the tall puppy before patting her head who purred under his touch while the taller boy just rolled his eyes at them before loosening his grip on her arm, trying not to show his true feelings.

"It's ok, Hyoo Rim-ah. You'll do better in your next meeting," Wonwoo consoled her still patting her hair but the said person jumped when she heard what the other had said. "NO! I WON'T," she again shouted as she pointed her finger, accusing him like he had done the worst in his life by telling those words. "If you again shout or get up from your seat, I'm going to throw you under a bus right now," Mingyu warned the drunken girl as he again pulled her to sit back down.

She sulked, pouting a bit in the process, grabbing Wonwoo's sleeve, rubbing her cheek on the material of his shirt like a cat. Mingyu looked away taking sips of his own shoju, knowing very well that he wouldn't be able to stand it any longer if this went on. "That Xu Minghao!! What does he think he is? Some god?" she started, suddenly pulling herself away from Wonwoo. "Just cause he is better than me doesn't give him the right to mock my work, right?" she whined as she looked at her best friends with teary eyes.

"Of course, he isn't  that good," Wonwoo mocked while Mingyu whizzed at the words, knowing very well what was about to come. "NO!! HE IS THE BEST," she scolded pointing her finger at him while accusing him who just shook his head. "See, you know you can't even blame him," Mingyu pointed out making her glare at him. "Of course, I can't. He's my IDOL!" she said, being serious all of a sudden as if she had sobered up just by a few words, making her other best friends laugh out loud.

The three best friends drank and chatted about a lot of things (mostly them ranting about their bosses). But what went past Mingyu's vision was that Wonwoo had drank more than he could  handle which Mingyu understood when the other boy clung to him, grabbing his hand like a koala, burring his face in the crook of his neck. Mingyu got startled at the sudden touch but relaxed when he saw who it was only to get shocked again as he understood what had happened.

"Hyung," he called out the older, shaking him a bit in the process, attracting the other best friend who was as shocked as him. "What should we do?" she asked as she examined the elder's face, red cheeks, closed eyes and a creepy smile (according to both of them). "I didn't even drive my car here," Mingyu whined as he pulled the other in his embrace so that he couldn't slip off and fall from his tool. But what he didn't notice was the sadness in the other's eyes for the same reason as him.

"Let me call a cab," she said shifting her eyes from her best friends to her phone to hide away the tears that were forming in her eyes. Mingyu shifted his eyes to look at the pretty boy that was clinging to him for his dear life in his sleep, tucking his bangs behind, ignoring the urge to kiss his cheek, knowing very well that the other would not want it even in his nightmare.

"Shit!" Hyoo Rim cursed out loud, "Only one cab is available right now," she added showing her phone to the taller. Mingyu sighed out loud showing his displeasure. "Just call it. You take the cab. My apartment is near I'll take hyung with me," he said as he creased his temple with his free hand. Hyoo Rim wanted to protest but shut her mouth up as she didn't have any better plan than that, but this time her eyes betrayed her as Mingyu could tell the sadness that was clouding her eyes.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to throw him off the building," he said, laughing to ease her mind while his eyes were telling her 'Don't worry, I know my place'. Hyoo Rim wanted to say something more as she knew very well how the other boy felt about the same person she liked but decided against it as she hopped on the cab to go home, smiling at the taller boy who waved at her with the biggest smile he could give.

"Hyung," he called the other boy, shaking him to wake him up which did the trick as the other boy looked up to him with a smile, trying to keep his eyes open. Mingyu couldn't but fall for the said boy more as he shook his head in adoration. "Hyung, hop on. Imma take you home," he said crouching down to pick the other boy up who did what he was told. Mingyu lost his balance for a second as he tried to stand up quickly with the weight on his back.

"Yah! I don't want to die. I still haven't confessed to Hyoo Rim-ah," Wonwoo said in a slurred voice that clearly screamed that 'I am drunk'. "So much for a drunken friend," Mingyu scoffed, getting a light smack on the back of his head from the said person. It didn't hurt him that much but what hurt more was the piercing pang that sliced through his heart. But who was he to say anything when he was one who brought that pain upon himself.

A/N: Hey, y'all. How are you liking it so far? Is it going the way you had imagined? 🙃
