Wonwoo walked out of the cafe, Hyoo Rim following behind. Mingyu was already looking at them as he heard the sound of the door opening. Wonwoo saw a questioning look on the younger. He smiled before showing him a thumbs up, walking towards him, thinking back at the time when he was just too dumb to see the love in the younger boy's eyes.

"Mingyu-ah, I'm bored. Play video games with me," Wonwoo whined as he sat beside the younger on the couch in their shared dorm. "Hyung, I've a test tomorrow and you know that," Mingyu said not looking up from his laptop. "Please, gyu-ah. Only ten minutes, I promise," Wonwoo pleaded showing his cat eyes. "Sure," Mingyu answered as he patted the cat's fluffy hair making the cat purr in the process. "Love you, Gyu," he smiled without noticing the red tint on the younger's face.

"Gyu-ah, we shouldn't drink much, right?" he asked tightly grabbing the hand of the taller. "Of course, not. We haven't tried drinking yet," Mingyu whisper shouted. But somehow he managed to get drunk in half an hour while clinging to the taller boy making the taller boy to carry him home.

"Gyu-ah, you look cute from the back," he drunkenly said while creasing his ear with his right hand as his left hand was tightly supporting himself not to fall from Mingyu's back. "Wow, hyung. You literally just insulted my gorgeous face," Mingyu sassed as he pulled up the boy on his back to make him comfortable up there.

"Uhu, they may love you for your face but I love you for your heart," he slurred but he could still see the red tint on the tip of the younger's ear which he found cute as he played with it for the rest of their walk.

"Hyung, try this," Mingyu said as he stuffed the new dish in his mouth. "It's hot, gyu," he said with his mouth filled with the dish. "Fuh~, see it's cold now," Mingyu said as he blew some air in the elder's mouth. Wonwoo gulped down before glaring at the said boy who just smiled sheepishly at him.

•••

"Hyung, you want it?" Mingyu teased while laughing, showing the book he needed to read. "Gyu, give that back," he chased after him as he cornered the taller boy. Mingyu stuck his tongue out as he pulled up the book higher making him jump around him.

Wonwoo pulled him down with everything he had gotten making them tumble against the corner of the bed. Their luck was better as they both landed on the soft mattress of the bed. Mostly Wonwoo landed on the bed while Mingyu landed on him (hovering over him).

Both of their hearts beat louder than usual. One knew the reason behind it while the other was oblivious of it. But maybe his heart knew the reason as the crimson red color tinted both of his cheeks along with the tip of his ears.

"Hyung, you two look cute together. Don't worry, you'll do great today," Mingyu reassured the older boy while fixing his messy hair before coming to the cafe. "I hope it goes well," Wonwoo smiled at the younger who was concentrating on his hair.

"Of course, it'll. Who do you think I am, huh? The Kim Mingyu," he boasted as he looked proud of his work. Mingyu turned the older boy around for him to get a view of himself in the mirror. Wonwoo checked himself in the mirror, feeling content with his look. He smiled at the younger who smiled back showing his cannies but something was there behind those smiles which he couldn't figure out at that time but now he knew it was longing for him.

Wonwoo saw him scoff at his thumbs up, before looking back at the rain, walking under it, soaking himself. But he wasn't that dumb to not see the tears that got washed away by rain drops. But what broke his heart was when the younger boy smiled at him, showing his beautiful cannies even though he knew how much the younger boy was hurting inside.

Mingyu gestured for him to join which made him smile. He gladly joined him, soaking himself along with the younger boy. Mingyu looked back at Hyoo Rim, smiling at her but winced in pain the next second when he felt Wonwoo punch him in his stomach. Mingyu's eyes widened when he saw Hyoo Rim snickering at him before looking at the older boy who again didn't give him any chance to speak instead started hitting him continuously.

"Hyung, hyung, hyung," he called out, holding the other boy's hands so that those couldn't abuse him. The other boy broke down in his hold, burying his face on his chest. Mingyu was shocked, he looked back at Hyoo Rim who put down her paper bag in front of the backdoor, leaving them there while mouthing 'Best of luck' to his best friend.

"Why? Mingyu, why?" Wonwoo cried out in his embrace while the other boy was frozen on his spot. "Why didn't you say that you love me?" Wonwoo said, pulling away from him, looking in his eyes as he tried to find a reasonable explanation, clutching his collar, shaking him violently, pulling him out of his trance.

"Hyung," Mingyu's voice wavered, trying to hold the boy. "Why?" Wonwoo whispered, supporting himself by holding the other boy's collar. "I was scared, hyung. I was scared you would hate me. I was scared. I'm sorry, hyung," Mingyu cried out, pulling the other boy close to keep him warm as the rain was pouring harder. "Can you promise me something, Gyu," Wonwoo murmured against his chest, shivering slightly in the rain.

"Yes, hyung. Whatever you say. If you tell me to stay away from you, I'll, hyung. I'll," Mingyu said as tears ran down on his cheeks, still hugging the other boy. Wonwoo pulled away from him, briefly looking into his eyes before pulling him down, connecting their lips for a second. Mingyu was out of words as Wonwoo pulled away before whispering in his ear, "Never stay away from me, no matter what."

"I won't even if you tell me to," Mingyu answered with a smile that showed his cannies before connecting his lips with the other boy in a passionate sweet kiss.

A/N: well, we've come here so far. Also, the paper bag contained "the trilby hat" if you're wondering.
