Artemis
Toward the end of the train ride to Hogwarts, the train starts to slow down,
"We shouldn't be at Hogwarts yet," Parvati states before it starts to get cold and all the lights burn out. We wait a few moments before our carriage door is slammed open and shut, Parvati, Lavender, and Valentina all scream as I step in front of them, and three other male screams come from the door,
"Who's in here," a snobbish voice I remember clearly from Diagon Alley,
"Oh for fucks sake," I whisper, before stomping on his foot, "Do you know now?" I question sarcastically,
"Obviously not," Malfoy responds, huffing I say,
"Parvati, Lavender, Valentina, and the girl who you threatened to beat your nose into your empty head,"
"Who?" Everyone except Draco asks,
"Damn didn't realise you were all owls," I say sarcastically, seeing a looming figure approach the door, "Get behind me now!" I yell at everyone, and the Slytherins instantly run behind me, I would roll my eyes but the others aren't behind me, "Get. Behind. Me," I grit out,
"What is that thing?" Parvati questions,
"It doesn't matter. Get behind me!" I yell, they finally move behind me when the dementor's hand opens the door, when it enter everyone behind me lets out screams,
"Leave now!" I yell at the dementor, but it comes closer opening its mouth, I think of my time at Hermione's house, my time with Dain, sitting in the compartment with the girls before yelling, with my hands out channeling my magic,
"Expecto Patronum!" a blue silvery wolf comes out of my wand and chasing the dementor away, I walk out of the compartment and point my hands down the train in the direction Harry went hoping to save him from the miserary that comes with dementors.
Remus
I wake up when the train comes to an abrupt stop and I wake up hearing Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, and Ginny talking about what's happening. The air goes cold, and the light disappears as a cloaked figure stands behind the door and slides it open with magic. Seeing it is a guard of Azkaban, I say calmly,
"None of us are hiding Pettigrew under our coats," and the familiar blue mist comes from my wand and pushes the dementor out of the carriage. Stepping forward about to lead it out of the train I see multiple dementors coming my way with a Wolf Patronus? chasing them howling as it runs them off the train before disappearing, my only thought is, Who has a wolf patronus? and What student was capable of casting it?
Artemis
"That's Nathen over there," Parvati points at the boy next to Harry, and when he turns his head a bit a smirk comes over my face as I recognise him as the guy from Gringots,
"You guys might want to keep an eye on him during sorting," I say
"I'm scared," Valentina states looking at me,
"You want to see him flustered you'll see him flustered," I say my eyes trailing him, "I have to go see Minnie now," as I walk towards the first years and hang a little behind them. Seeing a woman talking to the first years, I presume she is Minnie, and right before she opens the door I walk up to her,
"Hey Minnie," I say cheerfully,
"Who are you?" Minne questions, looking at me questioningly,
"I'm Artemis, third year and I need to be sorted,"
"I don't have any third years who need to be sorted, and also you will call me Professor McGonagall," still looking at me confused,
"Yeah, well I'm here aren't I?" I sass,
"Well you didn't get a Hogwarts letter then you can't go here," Minnie says like it's obvious,
"Well I'm a witch and need a school," I state looking her right in the eyes, as she lets out a sigh,
"Now what's your full name?"
"I only go by my first name," I challenge,
"You know what, I already have to deal with 2 former students, so this is to spite Ablus for bringing them back. Fine just walking in after I finish sorting the first years," she sighs as she opens the door and all the first years follow her as I lean on the wall waiting. When a memory comes to mind,
A man with messy black hair, a wide smile, and hazel eyes looks down at me,
"Now there are 4 houses my Little Fawn, Gryffindor for the brave and loyal, which all your family are in, Ravenclaw for the smart, Hufflepuff for the kind and gentle, and Slytherin for the cunning, but you are going to be Gryffindor I just know it," his laughter slow leaves as I am brought back to the present,
"I'm going crazy," I mumble, hearing the last of the clapping die down, I listen against the door for Minnie to say my name,
"And our new third year Artemis," upon hearing my queue I push the doors open, and looking at the Gryffindor table I spot Parvati, Lavender, and Valentina they all give me reassuring smiles, before I'm about to turn back to the front I spot Nathan and send him a quick wink and not waiting to see his reaction I face Minnie.
"Please take a seat," she tells me and I know it's not a request,. I hear a whisper behind me at the staff table,
"Look at her necklace Padfoot," an old tattered hat is placed on my head,
"Mmhhh The Lost Potter how interesting," everyone goes silent and everything goes silent like a breath is being held in.
