Artemis

"He didn't do it because Rufus Leastrange did." I tell him and watch a few faces pale and some jaws drop among the younger Gryffindors. Remus faulters but Sirius and James remain strong glaring at Peet through me,

"I don't know how you know this man Artemis but he had fed you lies" Sirius hisses strongly his wand still pointed firmly at Peet behind me,

"What no-" I start before Dad cuts me off firmly,

"Artemis. He lied to you." Dad tells me with no hesitation in his voice,

"It was polyjuice potion! You all didn't notice, you didn't notice that one of your closest friends was being impersonated by a deatheater!" Peet yells behind me gaining back some courage as he pushes my wand arm down. Remus flinches back at the strong words and seems to be thinking back to the time of the war,

"Stop lying to my daughter!" James yells charging forward pressing wand against Peet's neck as I pale,

"Dad stop-"

"Artemis enough!" Sirius screams at me shoving me into Nathan, Harry, and Hermione, "I knew there was a reason why Nathan and I don't trust you!" I blink a few times slowly trying to school my hurt. I tug my arm out of Nathan's grip and stand between Harry and Hermione instead.

"DON'T TOUCH HER LIKE THAT!" Peet yells and goes to lung forward but Dad's wand stops him. While Dad looks between me and Sirius guiltily,

"Thanks Black," I mutter coldly and throw a vile of clear liquid to Peter that I'd taken from Sirius' belt. Sirius glances down at his belt where the vile was obviously taken from, "It's vetiserum Peet,"

"You can't just-" Sirius starts,

"But I just did," I cut him off glaring at him. I watch as Remus' resolve almost completely vanished and as Dad's falters at how quickly Peet places a few drops on his tongue,

"My name is Peter Pettigrew, and to this day I was never a Death Eater." Remus sucks in a breath as Peet starts speaking and Dad's wand drops further but not completely, "On May 3rd 1980 I was ambushed by Death Eaters in my home. I was kidnapped, tortured and threatened for information by Rodfus, ..., and Bellatrix," Beside me I feel Hermione grip my arm, looking at her, her gaze is fixed in Peet while her other hand has slid into Ron's each holding each other's tightly.

Peet continues his story while I hear a small creak, a shift of weight on the other side of the wall. Glancing around no body else heard it being to focused on everything Peet is saying. While they are all transfixed on Peter I slip out of Hermione's grip and silently make my way to the door. My hand grips the door nob and I twist and fling it open in one motion, and Parvati stumbles forward into me. I grip her arms holding her up right and looking at my friend confused,

"Ah Miss Pavtil I was wondering when you would stumble upon this," Remus states and everyone freezes looking at Parvati. I look between the two trying to piece together a puzzle I don't have all the pieces of. I glance between Remus and Parvati a few times before my eyes widen,

"Oh Parvati," I whisper continuing to look between the two, "Please tell me I'm wrong," I watch as she shakes her and head and looks at me guilty,

"I-I'm sorry, I should have told you," Parvati murmurs back staring at the ground, "You're disgusted by me aren't you?" I shake my head and carefully wrap my arms around her shoulders. Parvati wraps her arms around my torso clinging to me tightly, "I was so scarred you'd hate me...your so...pretty and confident...you should be disgusted by me," She sniffles as I shake my head again,

"I don't hate you, and I'm not disgusted by you, you didn't choose to become a werewolf," I mumble so only she can hear, Parvati lets out a relieved sigh her grip loosening slightly,

"What is going on?" Ron asks confused and a chuckle pulling away from Parvati just in time to see Hermione swiftly hit the back of his head. Both Parvati and I laugh and Harry and Nathan are laughing a second before us.

Eventually the marauders believe Peter but he hasn't nearly forgiven them for not realising it wasn't him for over a year. Needing to take Peter back to the castle and to Dumbledore to prove his innocence, we all leave the Shrieking Shack coming out of the Whomping Willow and moving out of its range. I do my best to avoid Sirius and Nathan sticking close to Parvati. Behind me I hear Remus stop walking and beside me Parvati stops as well her grip on my hand tightening. Glancing worriedly between Remus and Parvati before I look up at the full moon.

"Parvati?" I question and notice James and Sirius move closer to Remus who is looking strained,

"Remus, my love, have you taken your Potion tonight?" Sirius presses holding Remus' shoulders tightly. Parvati shakes her head and grips something in her pocket and accidentally shatters it, a thick green-brown liquid seeps from her pocket.

"Vi? Was that the wolfsbane potion?" I ask worriedly turning to face her veins on the edge of her face now showing. Parvati nods slowly and let's put a choked sob her grip on my arms tightening. As her knees tremble she tries to push me away from her, instead I grip her arms stopping her from doing so holding her up,

"Y-you have to go..." Parvati whimpers squeezing her eyes shut in pain. Behind us I can hear Peter trying to get Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Nathan back out of the way towards the castle. Not that they would get that far if they tried,

"It's ok, I'll be ok," I say hugging her tightly as her nail dog into my arms,

"Go...go please I don't want to hurt you," I shake my head and hold her tight,

"We'll be ok, I'm an animagus you won't change me," I reassure her as her nails slowly change to claws and she cries in pain, "I've got you, I promise, I won't let you change anyone ok?" She nods against my shoulder as she continues to change. Parvati's cries turn to whimpers and I feel her claw my side making me draw in a sharp breath before I change the last of the way with her.
