Chapter 7 I Never Want to Leave

Once the bell rang and ruined our moment, we climbed down the tree and continued the rest of our day at school. When school was over, we grabbed our paintings and our gifts we gave each other this morning. I grabbed my flowers and teddy bear and chocolates that I left in Ms. Tamayo's room.

Zenitsu told me that he wanted me to have dinner at his place today so I'm really excited, since usually everything he plans has to be perfect!

"You excited y/n!?" He asked me as we waited for the train that he takes home.

"Yeah! I can't wait!"

"I live with my gramps, my foster parent. He was really happy that you were coming over and really wants to meet you! You should just look out for my foster brother, Kaigaku. He can be kind of rude sometimes."

"Okay. You have a brother? You don't talk about him much."

"Foster brother." He said, "And we don't get along very well. That's why I don't talk about him much."

"Brothers can be difficult." I said, "I have two younger brothers. I'm not gonna lie, I can be pretty harsh on them sometimes."

"YOU HARSH!?"

I laugh a little. "Yeah, I really tease them pretty brutally and when they try to tease me back I sometimes scream at them. I alway apologize but still. I can really do too much for them sometimes."

"I would have never guessed that."

The train arrived.

Zenitsu started to walk on. I stood still for a second.

"Y/n, come on."

I couldn't move.

"Y/n? Are you okay?" He looked at me worried.

"Yeah... I just get nervous sometimes.... When I have to get on trains that I'm not used to... I'm not crazy about trains." I awkwardly laughed a little.

"Y/n, we don't have to do this if you don't want to."

"No! I want to. It's just...."

He stares at me, contemplating what to do.

He grabbed my hand.

"How about we walk on together? Would that help?"

I blush. "Yeah..."

He slowly walks on the train with me while holding my hand.

We sat down. I tightly grip onto the teddy bear that Zenitsu got me.

"Y/n, it's okay." Zenitsu said, "I'm not going to let anyone hurt you."

I blush and push my face into the teddy bear. I'm so scared. Every time I get on a train, it reminds me of that day.....

"Y/n, are you sure you're okay? It pains me to see you like this." Zenitsu looked at me.

I quickly nodded my head.

"You're really scared of trains, huh?" He asked me.

I say nothing.

"Is it because of something that happened to you in the past?" He asked.

I gasp. I couldn't pull myself to say anything.

I felt him put his arm around my shoulder and pull me close.

"Do you trust me?"

I look up at him.

"What?"

"Do you trust me?" He repeated.
