*flashback*

Kid Vegas hesitantly walks into the room to see his mother holding a very tiny baby

He gasped "wow he's so tiny mama"

The woman smiles "I know, you wanna try holding him"

Kid vegas looks at her in awe "can I" then he went on the bed when his mother gently handed him the baby

"Mama have you pick out a name yet" he asked

The woman shook her head "not yet, do you wanna name him vegas"

Vegas nodded then took a look at the baby "i know, he shall be named Macau"

The woman chuckled oh really, why that name

"Because Because, its like me... city names" he said excitedly

The women smile "yep he's just like you and you know what, he's gonna need you to keep him safe, especially in this mafia world we are in"

Vegas looks at Macau then held him tight but not so tightly "I'll protect you forever, you can count on me" he smiles then he gasped "look mama, cau smile back to me"

The woman chuckled "i can see that, that mean he likes you"

"Well good, cause I like him too"

*years later*

Vegas is currently waiting on the chair of Macau's hospital room waiting for him to be placed in it

He keeps bouncing his legs as he waits to which pete had to stop him

"Vegas he will be fine, he is just dehydrated, crying a lot will do that to you, plus who knows how long he last ate"

Vegas sighs "i know I know, Im just worried"

Then the door opens and the nurse pushes Macau to the center of the room
She smiles at the couple "your son just needs a lot of rest, it seems like he have barley eaten in days and is dehydrated, so you shouldn't worry and we currently have him on this" she said pointing to the bag of liquid

Both of them chose to bypass the son part and made no sign to correct her

"Thanks, we will call you if needed" pete gently spoke as the nurse gave a nod then left the room

Vegas walks to Macau and held his hand "you gave me quite the scare nong, thank goodness nop was strong enough to break down your door, don't worry we will get you a new one" he jokes

Then soon after the rest of the family piled in with chay leading and rushing towards Macau "geez macau, Don't be the second person to run away from us" he playfully slapped his arm

"Is he gonna be alright" kinn asked
Vegas nods "he'll be fine just needs some rest"

The family collectively sigh of relief at that

Then pete looks at chay curiously "hey chay, its ok if you don't wanna answer but do you happen to know what all the disowning business caus been shouting about, because he was panicking about that"
Vegas looks at pete then chay in questioning "yea what do you know about it

Chay sighs "it is not my place to tell but one of our friends has been going through some tough time lately and his situation is eerie similar to Macau's only in macaus situation, p'pete is very fond of him while the sister-in-law of our friend is not so fond and would turn his brother against him" he explained leading to some shocked and disbelief expression from the family
