- Sabrina's Pov -"Hey." I hear a familiar voice say as I'm rummaging through my locker. I close my locker, revealing a very attractive, curly headed blonde leaning against the locker beside of me. He smiles, I look at his dimples before looking at his eyes.
"You're actually talking to me?" I scoff as I click my lock.
"Am I not supposed to?"
I chuckle."I just figured that you'd want to protect your "reputation" or something." I air quote.
He raises his brows. "My reputation?" He leans in, his lips almost touching mine. "And what is my reputation?"
I stare at his lips, completely forgetting that we're in a public area. "I-" I feel out of breath. Hot. Dizzy.
He stares into my eyes, even though I wasn't looking at his, I could still feel his gaze on mine.
And just as fast as it began, it ended even faster. He lets out a cocky laugh before backing up.
I stare at the ground. What the hell just happened..?
"Billy! Hi!" I then hear Mandy's high pitched voice interrupt my thoughts. She looks at Billy before looking at me. "What are you guys talking about?"
My gaze moves from the ground to his face before back at hers. She sounds so passive. Billy doesn't say anything, but something needed to be said.
"A project. Y'know, Mrs. Greyson?" I lie. Out of my peripheral I can see the corners of Billy's lip quip up.
"Oh, right." She smiles then turns to Billy. "Well, we should go. I don't want to be late. Bye Sabrina." She waves before grabbing his arm and practically pulling him into the middle of the hallway.
I sigh and lean against my locker. If this asshole thinks he can mess around with me like that he's wrong.
He does have beautiful lips though.
Shit.
-
At lunch, I pick at my food. Not really thinking about eating but about what happened earlier today.
Out of nowhere, Billy shows up at our table sending chills all the way down my back. He pulls a chair up next to her, glancing at me as he does.
"Hi!" She smiles with all of her teeth and for some reason it enrages me. He leans back in the seat as she starts to play with his hair. "Anyways, as I was saying. After the pep rally I'm thinking of having a small get together."
Yeah. "Small"
I watch as her hand trails down his neck. He looks at her while she talks. And I feel jealousy start to invade my body. Why though? As if I gave a shit about Billy Hargrove..
My eyes follow his arm as he moves it towards her, even though I can't see it, I know his hand is on her thigh right now.
I cough before standing up. "I'll be back." I blurt out, cutting Mandy off mid sentence.
They all look at me. Including Billy.
"You okay Sabrina?" Layla asks me.
"I just need to use the bathroom." I say before making my way out of the cafeteria. I sigh as I walk away only because I couldn't scream in public.
Once I get to the bathroom, I check to see if anyone is around. No one is so I let out the longest groan I've probably ever let out in my life. This is all so frustrating. He was in my fucking bed a couple nights ago. We almost kissed for fucks sake.
I'm not supposed to care about people like him. He's an asshole. A jerk. A really really hot jerk, but a jerk nonetheless.
After a couple of minutes, when I'm cooled off, I walk out of the bathroom. I stare at the spot that Billy was in when we had that little encounter, almost missing it. I sigh and walk back into the cafeteria.
Layla watches as I sit down before going back to talking about whatever they were talking about. My mind wonders off and I start to look out of the windows. I can see the tree line. My gaze stays on the tree line for a while, then right before I'm about to look away, something moves.
I squint a little to get a better look. Trying not to make it obvious to the other people at the table.
Nothing happens for a few seconds. So I shrug it off as a deer or something. That's until I see it again. It almost looks like a dog...but it definitely wasn't a dog.
The trees start to rustle a little bit, maybe it was just a coincidence, maybe it was just windy. Still even telling my self this, I couldn't shake this uneasy feeling in my stomach. The "dog" runs back into the woods. Maybe it was really a dog. I'm definitely just seeing things. Well, that's what I thought until I looked at the sky.
An outline? It looks like it has multiple arms. That uneasy feelings starts to get heavier and heavier. I have to be seeing things by now. I mean, this is so weird.
"Sabrina!" Layla shouts.
I jump a little and turn to face her.
She gestures around her nose. "You're nose.." She mouths to me.
I quickly touch my nose, when I look at my hand, I see blood. What the hell? I look at everyone sitting at the table, they look at me right back. Including Billy.
"Um." I rummage around the table and grab some napkins.
"Are you okay..?" Mandy asks me, raising a brow as she does.
I nod in humiliation while I hold my head back. The only thing I can think about is how this is the second time Billy has seen my nose bleed.
But after what felt like hours. The bell finally rings. I wave Layla off and just tell her I'm going to find some more napkins. As everyone is leaving, I overhear Billy tell Mandy that he was going out for a smoke.
She nods before kissing him on the cheek, then follows Layla out of the cafeteria. I told myself that he was really going outside to smoke, that is until I come back and he's still standing there. His hands rest on the table while he's kind of just, looking at me.
"Yeah. So disgusting right?" I mutter out as I pick my tray up.
"I wasn't going to say that." He says as he pushes himself off of the table.
I sigh before dumping my tray. He follows me as I make my way out of the cafeteria. Although I'm confused on why he's doing this, I don't completely mind it.
I can't show that though.
"I thought you were going out."
"I am."
I nod in silence before turning the corner. That's when I stop hearing the sounds of his boots hitting the floor.
"Wanna come with me?"
