- Sabrina's Pov -Only about an hour later is when everyone started to come through the doors. Everywhere is crowded, I cant even sit in the spot I was because there's always someone new making out there every time I come back.
I have no idea where Layla's at. All I know is that I can't leave until she's ready to and that isn't going to be anytime soon. I drink another soda as I lean against the house, this time watching everyone swim. Some people are sitting in the lawn chairs, some still sitting at the edge of the pool.
My head turns when I hear the sliding glass door open.
It's him.
Maybe he won't see me.
"It's you again." He says, beer in hand.
I look down as he joins my side. He takes a sip of his drink while looking into the trees.
"What do you want?" I ask him.
"I figured talking to my stalker would be better than talking to Mandy."
I almost choke on nothing. "Stalker? I'm not your stalker. How-"
"Every time I look at you you're staring at me. Seems like stalker activity to me." He grins as he looks down at me.
I stay quiet. He had me there. I can't deny that I do stare at him a lot. After a couple of seconds, He pulls a pack of Marlboros out of his pocket and offers me one. I shake my head.
"You don't smoke. Right" He places it in between his lips before lighting it.
I shake my head before leaning it against the house. Honestly I'm surprised he's even talking to me. I kind of figured he'd think he's to good to talk to someone like me.
I breathe in the smoke. Almost coughing as I do. I can't stand cigarettes but I don't say anything. Most of the people in Hawkins smoke, you'd think I'd be used to it.
"So I was right about the stress thing right?" He asks me.
I furrow my brows. At first I didn't understand what the hell he was talking about, then it hit me. He meant today, when he had that interaction. I open my mouth to say something but someone cuts me off before I do.
"Sabrina."
My best friend. Steve..
"What the hell do you want Steve?" I snap, pushing myself off of the wall.
"Seriously." His eyes land on Billy before landing back on my eyes. It's dark but the lights from the pool are enough for me to see him.
I tilt my head while crossing my arms. I'm about to say something until I see Nancy behind Steve, so I just smile.
"Steve. Come on. What are you doing?" She asks him.
He sighs and turns around. "Yeah, coming."
I smile as they walk away. My eyes stay glued to the couple until I hear Billy speak up.
"Someone hasn't moved on yet." I hear Billy's voice behind me.
"What?"
"Steve." He nods his head towards Steve.
"How'd you know we were together?"
