𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒖𝒅𝒈𝒆.SODAPOP AND LACY HAVEN'T SPOKEN TO EACH OTHER SINCE THAT NIGHT that eventually turned into a night from two weeks ago. from what sodapop heard, lacy was apparently moving on from him, dallas claimed that he caught lacy making out with a man that looked twice her senior and height. another source told him that lacy was always walking out of work with some guy next to her.
all of this wasn't true in lacy's life, the times she came home from a night out she'd just sob endlessly until she fell asleep. wesley had seen it all and volunteered to stay at lacy's apartment for a few nights, it was a nice gesture but sounded like a suicide watch.
lacy did wake up one day to the worst feeling in her stomach, she even woke up wesley who was dead asleep in her bed. they ended up sitting by the toilet for an hour while lacy threw her guts up. wesley worried that she may be pregnant, lacy wanted to deny it so badly but she feared that wesley might be right.
when wesley suggested that lacy was pregnant, lacy took matters into her own hands and visited her doctor who was more than happy to head about another pregnancy.
it had been a week since lacy visited the doctor, she returned to hear about the results but also brought wesley with her for moral support.
"lacy mackenzie?" her doctor calls out.
"good luck, i'll be right here." wesley whispers.
lacy smiles and squeezes her hand one last time.
she follows her doctor into the room, she is sat down on the cushioned bed with her feet twitching constantly beneath her.
"well, congratulations lacy, you are 3 weeks pregnant." the doctor smiles.
lacy heart sunk into her stomach, she felt like the walls were closing in on her. lacy wasn't even fully ready for a kid, let alone she didn't even know how to take care of herself most of the time.
the doctor noticed her expression and stopped.
"we could discuss plans if you'd like to terminate this pregnancy." she suggests.
"no, no it's fine." lacy sniffles, "i just- wow."
"come back in five weeks for your check up, i'll prescribe you your prenatal vitamins that you can pick up tomorrow." the doctor offers.
"okay yeah, thank you dr. ray." lacy says.
"it is my pleasure." dr. ray smiles as her hand rests on top of lacy's.
lacy exits the room, wesley jumps out of her chair and walks up to lacy.
"so?" welsey longed.
lacy nodded with a frown. wesley was about to congratulate her for letting her become an aunt but when she read lacy's face, all she could do was share the same expression as lacy.
wesley puts her arm over lacy as she guides her to the car. as soon as they got in, lacy bawled her eyes out in the passenger seat. wesley reached over to hug her best friend, letting the tears stain her blouse.
"i mean what am i gonna do? i'm just a 22 year old with a job that doesn't even give a shit about let alone what i'm about to give birth to." lacy sobs.
"you're gonna get through this, i can watch over your kid while you go to work." wesley offers.
lacy wipes her face, "i don't know what i would do without you lace."
"die." wesley jokes, they both laughed.
wesley drives them back to lacy's apartment where they had ice cream and a movie.
meanwhile, sodapop took out his anger on his darry. everything he did would set him off, he'd yell at him, sometimes he'd even throw things at him. it was obvious that sodapop wasn't taking it well.
