LACY NEARED SEVEN MONTHS OF THE PREGNANCY, everyday she'd just look at her growing stomach in the mirror. she had nothing to do since she put down her maternity leave the week prior.

wesley always swung by the house to drop off some baby stuff for lacy and caroline, mostly clothes and toys. wesley had given them too many toys that lacy had no space in her storage closet, but this was wesley trying to be the favorite aunt in the future.

lacy had just finished a batch of laundry, folding the clothes on her living room floor. the basket contained her clothes and caroline's clothes.

as she took out one of the small, tiny shirts, she couldn't help but tear up a little from how cute they were. lacy pictured her baby girl in them, the baby girl with her blue eyes and blonde hair.

a faint knock hit the door, lacy's head turned to it. she felt a little odd since wesley had her own key to the apartment, she didn't know why wesley had to knock on the door snd if she did knock-she bang on the door instead.

lacy calmly walked over to the door, opening it just a little. she was met with sodapop's eyes.

"soda, hi." she greets without cracking a grin.

"i need to talk, just this once." he pleaded.

lacy step out of the way.

sodapop entered the apartment to see a bunch of clothes lying around on the floor. he felt some relief that he saw a bunch of baby clothes for girls, he was praying that lacy would have a girl.

"lace, i needed to talk about the baby, you can't just keep me away from here." sodapop said, "i'm her father and i promise you that i will give her and you the life you both deserve. i can't do that if you're running away from me."

lacy nodded.

"lacy, just say something please."

she huffs, "you're right."

"what?" sodapop asks in a confused tone.

"you're right, i've taken this too far and i do believe that i shouldn't keep you away from our baby." lacy shrugs, "sodapop, i still love you, ya know. i wouldn't keep this shit going on for so long."

"well you kind of let it go on for half a year." sodapop implies.

she rolls her eyes, "yeah but i just- i just took it too far."

"don't worry about it." he grins.

there was a small pause, sodapop stepped closer to lacy whose eyes remained still with his.

lacy feels his hot palms touch her cheeks, his lips falling onto hers. lacy wraps her arms around his neck and accepts his kiss. sodapop's hands fall, his arms formed around her waist.

they were interrupted when lacy's stomach began moving, they looked down to see their baby kicking. sodapop has never bene this excited in his life, ever since he gave away his horse, he only shared a small amount of emotions.

"i'm so glad to have you back." lacy whispers, causing sodapop to smile.

"me too."

they share another kiss before letting go, sharing more moments in the living room.
