Chapter ten

Enid's POV:
Me and Wednesday are getting ready for Yoko's party. I'm still confused why she's coming with me voluntarily, either way i'm not complaining. "You almost ready?" I shout from the bathroom. "Have been for an hour." Wednesday replies sarcastically. "It's not my fault i take longer!" I shout frustrated. I touch up my makeup as we're about to leave. I stand like an idiot smiling in the bathroom before i go back out there, blushing in front of her just because she's simply coming with me is crazy.

"Okay let's go." I say exiting the bathroom. Wednesday hold the door open for me and we leave. "You look rather appealing tonight." Wednesday says after a few minutes of silence. "Thank you, Weds." I say hiding my hot pink cheeks.

"Hey!" Yoko says excited opening the door. Wednesday glances at me then walks past Yoko into the room. "I see you brought your girlfriend. She's in a great mood by the looks of things." Yoko says sarcastically. "She actually volunteered. And stop saying she's my girlfriend." I say smiling. "I'm feeding into your deepest dreams." Yoko laughs. "A dream that won't come true." I sigh. "Oh don't even. She so likes you. She probably only came here so she can kill and torture Joe if he looks in your direction." Yoko says. I doubt she's jealous. From what Yoko has explained and the way she sometimes acts, maybe she is. I would be surprised, though. "Talking of Joe, is he here?" I ask. "Yeah, he said he was coming. I don't know if he's here yet." Yoko says looking around the crowded room. "Well i'm gonna go find Weds to make sure she doesn't murder someone, cya." I say to Yoko.

Wednesdays POV:

I stare at the floor beneath me as i wait for something to happen. I'm only here for Enid and to make sure Joe isn't in the way. I see her begin walking towards me before she's interrupted. She talks to one of the new students often, i think that's who she's talking to. She looks rather upset when she's done talking to her. "What's wrong?" I ask as she sits besides me. "Nothing." She says quietly. Enid is never quite, she's upset. The sense of cingulomania that came over me irritated me, but i didn't come off as mad.

"Come on." I say lighting holding her arm leading her towards the closet. "Why are we in here?" Enid asks. "So we can talk about whatever upset you." I reply. "You're gonna listen?" She asks. "I will listen to every word, talk to me."
"It's just stuff the new girl found out about Ajax when she dated him. He cheated on me when me and him were together apparently." Enid explains with tears in her eyes. I hate him. I hate him so much. I don't often get genuinely frustrated, but seeing Enid upset because of him makes me want to kill him. I attempted to leave to see if he's here but Enid stops me. "Weds, no." She says pulling me back by my arm. I angrily spin and find myself so close to her that i can feel her warmth breath on my face. "He hurt you, i'll hurt him ten times worse." I say slightly calmer than a fee seconds ago. "Let's just stay here." Enid suggested. "Fine."
The conversations over, but we're still standing not even centimetres apart. In fact i feel like we've gotten closer. "So..." I say attempting to make conversation. "Weds?"
"Yes?"
"Can i..."
Enid takes a long pause and i stay patient.
"Can i kiss you?" She asks.
My heart sinks to my chest and i suddenly feel my whole body grow warmer. I didn't expect that.
"Sorry i shouldn't have asked." Enid says after a long moment of silence.

She begins walking towards the door to leave. I don't know what gave me the confidence to pull her back, either way i did. I want to kiss her, which is an extremely strange feeling. We're facing each other again in silence. I stare into her beautiful eyes for a moment and then lean in closer to her. Our lips almost make contact until the closet door opens.
