Enid's POV:

I'm still in shock, did that actually happen? Did i actually ask to kiss Wednesday and did it almost happen or am i dreaming? If it was, unfortunately, we we're interrupted.

Wednesday is reading at a table only she's sat at, this could be my chance to talk to her.

"Enid!" I hear a deep voice say. "Oh, hey!" I reply when i turn and see Joe. "You haven't answered my texts." Joe says. "I know, i've been occupied." I say trying to sound as uninterested as possible. "So, wanna make it up to me?" He asks. He's very persistent, he either really likes me or he can't take a hint. "Are you asking me on another date?" I ask. "I sure am." He replies with a wide smile. "I'll check my schedule." I say. "Okay, wanna get a drink?" He offers but i decline.

After Joe finally stopped talking i begin to walk towards Wednesday.

"Hey!" I say sitting besides her. "Hello." Wednesday says putting her book down. "So... are we gonna talk about it?" I ask. "About what?" Wednesday answers. "You know." I say eyeing the closet. "Can we leave? I'm tired." She asks changing the subject. "Sure." I reply.

Wednesdays POV:

I know Enid wants to talk about the kiss, i know exactly that thats what she wants to talk about. Me however, the opposite. I don't find enjoyment in discussing the fact i tried to kiss someone, especially someone i potentially have feelings for. I sit on my bed scrolling through Enid's twitter reading her blog, i don't know if she knows that i read it, but she's an extremely talented writer.

I immediately close twitter and pick up my book when i hear her exit the bathroom. "What're you doing?" She asks. "Reading." I reply. "Oh yeah, hows it going?" She asks. "It's going okay, thank you." I answer.
I turn my head back to the book and hear Enid laughing. "What now?" I ask.
"The book is upside down."
"Whatever." I say realising the book, is in fact, upside down.

"If we weren't interrupted earlier..."
Enid begins talking but doesn't finish her sentence. "We would have kissed, i know." I say, maybe she'll stop talking about it if i say something about it.
"So you would have kissed me?" She asks. "Yes, Enid."
"Oh, would you do it again?"
"Do what? Try kiss you?"
"Yeah."
"Well, i guess if the time was right maybe i would consider it."
I say then look back at my book, the right way round this time.

Time skip- The next day.

Enid's POV:

I wish she would just talk to me.

We have barely talked about the kiss, well, almost kiss. Now i'm even more confused than before. I stir my cereal with my spoon forgetting the individual in front of me.

"You okay?" Joe asks. "Yeah, i'm okay." I answer. I had to talk to him, i offered breakfast together before he requested a date. Breaking things off with him over a fancy dinner or a movie would have made me feel even worse.

"Can we talk?" I ask worried. "Sure, what's up?" He answers. "I don't think we should date anymore." I say.
He doesn't say anything for a few seconds. "Why?" He finally asks.
"I don't want to be mean. I just don't think you're really my type and i just have a lot going on." I answer.
"Oh, okay. Can we still be friends at least?"
I feel like a huge weight was just lifted from my chest. Not only is he not mad, but i also won't have to deal with him as much anymore.
"Of course. I've got to go but we'll talk later." I lie. We most likely won't talk later.
