Chapter seven

Enid's POV:

Tonight is my date with Joe. I'm kind of anxious, also regretting exepting the offer as i only accepted to hopefully get back at Ajax. Wednesday told me it was pathetic and i shouldn't go, she even offered to play minecraft with me if i stayed. It was tempting, i know she's right about the pathetic part but i do need to put myself out there. I don't want to be the girl who's heartbroken over a boy and never has a relationship again, so i'm going to try. It also gives me the chance to get to know him for my blog, he isn't on social media like the others so gathering information about him wasn't easy.

I hear him knock at the door and look at Wednesday, "It's not too late to cancel." She says. She's not even looking at me so i don't know how she knows i'm looking at her, it's nothing new though. It's weird that i'm the same with her. I always know when she's there. Wednesday has a thing for making people scared especially if it gives her the opportunity to jumpscare them. I'm a very jumpy person yet she's never scared me. I don't respond to her because if anyone can convince me to cancel - other than Yoko - it would definetly be her. I open the door and see Joe, "Hey, you look... beautiful." He says. I answer him with a smile and feel Wednesday walking up behind me. Is she seriously going to try and scare him? "Oh, Wednesday Addams, right?" Joe asks. "The one and only." She replies. I look at her slightly confused but her eyes might as well be super glued to Joe because she doesn't even glance at me. "You're the girl who killed crackstone, right?" He asks. "What is this, a Q&A?" Wednesday says in an agressive tone. "Sorry, anyways Enid we should get going." He says anxiously. Wednesday walks in front of me and twards Joe, forget the scaring him part, she looks like she wants to kill him. "Lay even a finger on her and i will kill you."
I hear Wednesday whisper close to Joe. I'm sort of concerned, so is he, she glances at me for not even a second and goes back to her desk. That was so weird.

The drive to the resturant was almost silent. I feel kind of bad that it started like that, but i did warn him. "What will you have?" Joe asks staring at his menu. "Oh, i'll just have the mac&cheese." I answer. He orders and it's awkward for a few minuites. "I'm sorry about Wednesday, she's not usually like that." I say breaking the silence. "It's okay, she is the girl who killed crackstone though, right?" He asks. Why does he need to know? "Yep, she sure is." I answer. "Tell me about her." He insists. I don't like this dating thing. Isn't he supposed to be trying to get to know me? "Um, she's extremely smart. I mean she knows how to solve anything, last year she solved a whole crime case even the police couldn't solve. She also knows a lot about the most random things. Definetly an introvert, she likes to scare people, she isn't really nice to anyone as you probably know." I say to start and pause to think what else i could say about her. "But she's nice to you." He interrupts. "Yeah well last year a lot happened with the investigation and crackstone and we managed to bond, not in the best way, but we bonded. I don't know, she's one of my best friends." I say.
"Seems you two have a good relationship." Joe assumes and i nod. We eat dinner and don't talk about Wednesday anymore.

Wednesday's POV:
I wait impatiently for Enid to get back. I don't like that she's with him, i don't know why. I hear a knock and sprint to the door, to my suprise when i open the door i see Yoko. "Is Enid here?" Yoko asks. "No, she's on a date with Joe." I reply. "You seem angry." Yoko assumes. God i hate that vampire. "I'm not, i'm irritated. Fun fact, i'm not the best person to be arround when in this particular mood." I say. "Why are you mad?" She asks. I don't know why Yoko always attempts to create small talk, i guess it could be to try make it easier for me to be nice to her concidering Enid forced me to tollerate her. "i don't like Joe, do you know why she's with him?" I ask. "Someones jealous." Yoko mumbles. I look at her curious. "C'mon, Joe hasn't done anything wrong yet you're so bothered she's with him. You rarely get mad, you also rarely talk to me and yet here you are having a conversation with me all because you're so eager to know why she's with him." Yoko says. I'm not jealous, i don't get jelous. Yoko's voice and what she said repeats in my head. Am i jealous? "Y'know if you're in love with her you can just say it." Yoko says with a smirk. I snap out of my thoughts and back to reality. "I'm not jealous or in love with Enid." I say as i grow more aggitated the more she talks. "You're awfully defensive." Yoko says.
"Get out."
"You know i'm right, think about it."
She smiles and leaves.
I have a lot of thinking to do.
