"Hey." Dean glanced up from his book, anger shooting through him at the intrusion. He was at the best part of his book, when Ginny is snogging some boy and ron flips shit. It reminds him of when he found Sam sucking face with a guy who was almost his age and he broke the guys femur.
But all angry retorts of fuck off melted on his tongue as his eyes met a stormy blue that he wanted to stare into forever. Castiel stood in front of him, a curious expression on his sharp features and his lips turned up in a small smile that played with Deans heart string unfairly.
"Hey." Cas gestured to the only empty spot on his bed, his eyebrow raising in question. It took Dean a moment to truly understand what he was asking him, but when it clicked he made an O with his mouth and started nodding feverishly.
"Uh.. uh... Yea." He swiped everything toward the wall, creating a bigger space for him to sit and scooted a little closer to him when he sat down, keeping one leg dangling over the edge of the bed and sitting on the other leg, which was bent underneath him.
"Whats up?" Dean asked, shrugging slightly. He reached over and picked up his favorite sweater, his only sweater, a slightly baggy black sweatshirt with the Batman signal stretching across the front in bright yellows and whites. He pulled it over his head, clothing himself, and he realized this was the first time he had ever put on clothes when an attractive guy was in his bed, not having them ripped off. A heat crept up his neck but he gulped and took a deep breath to keep the blush away as he put an easy lopsided grin on his face, sitting back against the beam and waiting for him to talk.
"So, my brother has told me a lot about you..." he trailed off, obviously trying to find the right words. Dean watched his face carefully, and noticed that he glanced up to his lips often, showing him exactly what he needed to know.
He leaned forward, his lips brushing Castiels ear as he whispered into his ear, keeping his voice low so nobody else could hear him, just Castiel.
"Listen, wanna just fuck and get it over with?" He leaned back a little, their faces inches apart, and bit his bottom lip as he glanced down at Castiels lips and back up to his eyes. Cas smirked at him, one side lifting up more than the other in a cute boyish way.
"Romance isn't your strong suit is it?" Dean put his tongue between his lips and smiled, his nose scrunching up as he smiled widely at him.
"No, I'm more of an animal in the bedroom than a hopeless romantic." Castiel watched him speak, licking his lips as he spoke the last syllables of the corny words.
"Well I was just going to suggest we be friends...." Cas looked at Dean in such a way that made Dean fidget nervously, a little doubtful of what he had just proposed. He didn't want to scare him off, But when he saw Castiels face go from serious to the face of a practical joker, all doubt flew out the window and he dived head on, knowing what he wanted.
"Well we could be friends.... with benefits. " Dean twitched his eyebrows up the way the people on tvshows do, making Cas laugh for a minute. Dean watched him laugh with fondness, memorizing the way his lips pulled back from his teeth, the way his sharp caninies came over his bottom lip as it lifted, and how his eyes scrunched up.
"We are in a bit of a prison situation Dean. How do you suggest we go about that." He raised one eyebrow, a cocky grin erupting on his face. Dean stared at him, stumped for words. What he said was true, finding a safe place to dive into that mess would be hard and virtually impossible.
Then an idea popped into his head, at the same time that Castiels eyes widened with an idea of his own. Their eyes met, and their lips opened at the same time, but they clasped them shut to allow the other to speak. They dived into a sweet silence before Dean ruined it, a low chuckle delving out from low in his throat.
"You talk first." Cas nodded in a sort of thanks before uttering his brothers name.
"Gabriel." Dean nodded, his eyes squinting as he smiled, the corners of his eyes wrinkling slightly.
"Great minds think alike." Dean set his hand on Cas's thigh, smiling at him.
"Talk to your brother. If you still want that, talk to me after you get all the details worked out." Dean winked at him, before pulling back and leaning against the banister again, pulling his book back up to his face to hide the too eager smile that graced his face.
The bed creaked as Cas stood, stunned from the conversation that he had just had with the boy he had been practically drooling over for the past two weeks. That talk went smoother than he imagined, what with all the times he had screamed at him for strumming his guitar while he was reading or the times that Dean had to forcefully take the flashlight away from him so any of them could sleep. He was surprised that Dean had interpreted exactly what he had wanted from the stutters that had been his first response, but he was glad that Dean had been so cool about that.
Now to find Gabriel, who wouldn't be happy at all with these events, and some how convince him to sneak them out like he said he could sneak himself and Cas out so he could ravange himself a Winchester.
