~YAEL~

"Will you, Duncan, take Yael as your wife?" Lucy said.

"Yes," Duncan replied.

"And will you, Yael, take this prick as your husband?"

Yael laughed. "Yes!"

"Then I declare you husband and wife!" Lucy announced. Duncan lifted Yael off her feet to spin her around before kissing her.

"You've made me the happiest man," Duncan said to her.

"And me, happiest woman," she replied.

"Ugh, I'm gonna barf! Get a room!" Lucy joked.

"You are in our room," Duncan pointed out.

"Touche," Lucy said.

"Anyway," Yael said to Lucy. "How come you the priest?"

"Easy," Lucy said. "You can sign up to be one. I did that."

"So we really married," Yael said to Duncan.

"Why, you wanted a fake marriage?"

Is this marriage fake?

"No," Yael laughed. "You cannot run away from me."

"You can bet on that. I'll love you to death if I have to."

Will he, really?

"Oh, Duncan, such sweet word," she said. "I love this mouth."

"Mmm, guess what this mouth is eating tonight?"

She shoved him playfully. "Dinner?"

"Well, yes, dinner," he said. "You."

"Ugh! Stop! Stop!" Lucy groaned, and they laughed.

"Sorry," Yael said. "Stay for dinner, Lucy?"

"No, thank you," she said, still smiling. "I gotta go."

"Alright," Yael said. Lucy left after a while and Yael had dinner with Duncan. Before long, they prepared to sleep on the same bed.

But Yael could not sleep.

Duncan drifted off to sleep easily, and she stayed awake. She planned for a long time what she was planning to do. She had seen him setting his alarm for the next day and she knew she was a light sleeper. She would also wake up and pretend to be asleep, then tag along to the grave. She was worried about the KKK, but she told herself she would be fine.

Nothing bad was going to happen.
