"Bun, what's wrong?" Jin sat up quickly, scaring Yoongi, who was napping on his stomach. The Alpha grumbled and wrapped his arms around Jin's legs so he could go back to sleep.
"Jinnie," Kook sobbed, "why can't I just come and live with you?"
Jin's heart started to break. His baby brother should never be this upset. "Bun," he whispered a little brokenly.
"He's never home, and I was by myself all weekend."
"WHAT?" Jin yelled, causing Yoongi to wake up and look around the room with his sleep-induced blinking. Yoongi mouthed what, and Jin put the phone on speaker. "What do you mean you were home alone all weekend?"
This was dangerous, so so dangerous. What if he had presented? Many pups have died from so many things because they presented alone. You forget to eat and drink, and your body heats up to a very high temperature. If you don't have someone there to force you to eat and drink and to make sure that you don't overheat, you can die. It's happened so many times over the years.
"He has a new girlfriend, and she doesn't want pups that aren't hers. So he has to go to her house," Kook sniffled a bit. "I heard them talking; they were waiting to see what I presented as. He said if I don't present as an Alpha, then he'll have pups with her so he can try again."
Jin will never understand his father's obsession with having an Alpha son. What's so great about it anyway? He'd love for Kook to come live with him; even Yoongi has said it multiple times. But they were so afraid he'd present as an Omega, and then what would they do? "Do it," Yoongi mouthed as he nodded his head, giving Jin the reassurance he needed.
"Hold on a sec, Bun." He muted the phone. "Will it be hard for you to live with two Omegas because we both know what's going to happen?"
Yoongi shook his head so fiercely, "No, you just make me want to fall asleep, and Kook is just as much my younger brother as he is yours. Plus, we all know that I lean towards Alphas and not Omegas. He'll be safe around me when he goes into heat."
The Omega took a deep breath and then unmuted the phone, "Bun, pack your stuff for a week's stay. I'm coming over after school tomorrow. We'll convince him to let you stay with me for a bit, and then we'll go from there. How does that sound?"
"He should be here tomorrow," Kook mumbled softly.
"Is he home right now? Have you eaten anything?"
A small sniffle, "No, and I had some ramen. He won't let me use the stove, and," his voice got lower, "microwaves," he whispered in a shudder.
It made both of the older wolves laugh. Their little Kookie has been afraid of microwaves for as long as they could remember, "well, I'm glad that you have the kettle then. I'll order delivery for you. Does pizza sound good?" Once he got Kook's very enthusiastic order, they got off the phone.
"Are you sure, Yoongi, this is a long-term commitment."
The Alpha snorted, "We aren't getting married, dude. Calm down. He's going to live with us while we are in college and maybe a bit after until we both move on with our significant others."
Yoongi wasn't wrong there, but still. "We'll have to find a school close to here that he can go to. No more wild parties."
Another snort came from the younger, "wild parties, you say? Like the one we had on Friday?"
Jin snorted back. That was a good day. Joon, Jimin, the twins, and Jin sat around and had a very loud debate over the merit of Rom-Coms. Jimin very passionately argued how The Notebook was a classic and very much needed. He said that anytime he was down, he could watch that and cry it out. Joon thought they were stupid and pointless, as did Yoonji. Yoongi agreed with Jimin, and that made Jin want to roll his eyes so hard because he'd known him most of his life, and Yoongi hated Rom-Coms.
"It was pretty wild how you stood on the coffee table and yelled at Joon for ten minutes because he disagreed with your Alpha. Jimin was a straight-up blushing mess watching you defend his honor."
"I didn't call him my Alpha. Please tell me I didn't call him my Alpha in front of everyone?"
The Omega wanted to tease him so badly, but Yoongi looked so panicked that he just couldn't. "You didn't, but I could tell you were close to doing it. Your eyes were bright red, and your scent was insane. Poor Joon had no idea just how serious you actually were."
"I've never been so thankful for Betas and their useless noses before."
"But don't forget that Jimin is an Alpha; he could smell everything."
Yoongi groaned as he wrapped himself up with the blanket and turned himself into a burrito. "Kill me now, please, oh merciful one."
"It'll be fine, and he thought it was cute. You might have been too distracted to notice his scent. But he was sitting right next to me, and he was more than pleased that you were so passionately defending him." Jin was a tad bit smug about it, but who cares? It's funny torturing your best friend a little.
Even though Yoongi was wrapped up better than any Taco Bell burrito known to man, Jin could still smell his pleased scent pouring out of the blanket. Jin rolled his eyes before pushing him out of the nest. "Yah, I don't want that shit in my nest. Go pump your pheromones somewhere else, Alphas," he scoffed.
Jimin was smiling as he added another star to his vase, "oh God, not another one?" Yoonji groaned. "When did he even have time to give you that one? I know for a fact he hasn't left Jin's nest for more than two minutes today."
The younger Alpha's scent soured a bit. The coffee turned a bit burnt, "are you sure they aren't, you know, together? An Alpha and an Omega living together is," he trailed off because Yoonji was looking at him like he was the dumbest Alpha alive.
"More than sure, they've been besties since they were little." She sat up and went to cuddle her bestie, "You have nothing to worry about with those two Chim, I promise. Yoongi is 100% into Alphas and not Omegas. He's never even tried to date an Omega, now me on the other hand," she giggled.
Jimin sighed as he flopped himself back onto his bed, "he left this one in my hoodie pocket when we were there Friday. I'm not even sure when he put it in there, though. All I know is it wasn't there when I got there, and when I got back to the dorm, it was in there."
"Oh, you mean when my silly twin stood on the table to defend your honor in front of God and all our friends?"
The younger Alpha squeaked a bit, "that was so hot."
Yoonji gagged a bit, "Please don't talk about my brother like that, I beg of you. I don't want to have to bleach my ears."
He rolled over to look at her, "I know he's into Alphas, but Idk why he hasn't kissed me. I mean, he's practically courting me." His eyes got wide, "wait, what if I read it all wrong, and he's not courting me at all?"
"Want me to ask him?"
"Oh my God, you can't just ask him if he's courting me. That's so embarrassing. What if he thinks I asked you to ask? If he's not, that would, yeah, not good. And if he is, and I didn't know he was, that's almost worse."
"Well, I could just play it like I'm being the nosey little sister. It wouldn't be the first time I've gotten all up into his business. But he's so oblivious he might not even know he's courting you. He's pretty, not smart."
"You are so mean, geez," Jimin groaned, making Yoonji laugh loudly.
"Younger sibling stuff, don't act like you aren't the same way with Joon; Mr. I had to graduate early to prove a point." A very rude gesture flashed in her face, making her laugh even more.
