Chapt. 5 - AJ

I still love Des, I can't lie. I've been lying to myself for too long about my feelings for her. The last thing I want to see is her in danger. Champ ain't no good and if she don't listen to me she'll find out.

While Des watch Amiya I'm helping Zoe move their furniture, etc to their new house, that mothafucka nice too. "AJ let's go ahead and get this TV stand over with." I'm tired and sleepy and Zoe acting like she been drinking red bull or some shit. "Bro we gone need help with that stand, we can't pick that shit up." I could tell Zoe was getting irritated but I don't care, we need help with that damn stand. "Baby I don't think y'all can get that stand." She looked at Jas with attitude. "Man come on AJ, we get this out the way we just gotta worry bout small stuff." I shook my head and helped AJ pick the stand up. Half way down the stairs we started struggling and it slipped out our hands and landed on my foot. "Ahhhh fuck !!! Its my foot, its on my fuckin foot !!!" Some guys came running up the step and lifted it off my foot, I couldn't stand up I was in so much pain. I grabbed my foot so fast I forgot I was on stairs when I fell back and rolled down the staircase. My foot started throbbing even more. "AJ bro I'm sorry.. Call the ambulance baby !!" Zoe got on the ground next to me holding me up. "Fuck that, drive me now." I was taking deep breaths trying to stay calm and not make the pain worse. Its a bitch move to cry but I can't help it, I didn't even try to take my shoe off, this shit hurt like fuck.

"Amanda?" I tried to open my eyes but the light was too bright. I lifted my head and looked around to see nothing but curtains. Tears rolled down my face as I felt pain. "On a scale 1-10 how bad is the pain?" The nurse was holding my hand as another nurse gave me pain meds in my IV. "8... 9." She nodded and explained that the meds will make me sleepy and how I had surgery and what the TV stand did to my foot/leg.

When I got in my room Zoe, Jas, and Des came in with balloons and a bear that Amiya picked out. I laid there without cracking a smile. "How you doing boo?" Jas walked to my side and rubbed my hand with the IV. "I'm hurting like a mothafucka sis." She shook her head. "Just rest and focus on getting back right." I nodded my head as I tried to get comfortable. The more I moved the more pain I was in. "Stop moving baby, wait till you go numb." Des kissed my cheek as tears rolled down her face. "Why you crying?" I grabbed her hand and held onto it. "Last thing I want to see is you in a hospital bed hurting." I chuckled a lil. "I'm not dying, my foot just fucked up." "Im staying up here every night until you can go home." I shook my head. "Last thing I need right now is Champ bullshit. Go home." She pulled out her phone and showed me a pic of Champ cuddled up with another girl. "What can she say? I'm done. I'm here until you can go home." I looked at Jas. "We'll keep Amiya, you know she in good hands." I nodded my head as I started dozing off. Des and Jas held my foot as I slid to one side of the bed. Jas and Zoe said their goodbyes as I finally got comfortable. Des changed her clothes and got in the bed with me. I fell asleep in no time laying in her arms. Champ don't know what she missing out on but I'm gone show her. No matter what we went through I shouldn't have let her go. But I'll make up for it.
