Chapt. 19 - Josiah

"Hold on bro, you a virgin?" I got irritated as my homeboy Lucky picked on me cause I have never had sex. "Yeah, she be talking about dates and hanging out. I don't want it to lead to sex then I dont know what to do." Luck died laughing as he held his chest while bent over. "Iight, iight I'm sorry lil bro. I got you, I'm your big homie so I got you." I nodded.
"Tell me about this girl." I tried not to show my excitement too much. "Her name is Diamond, she's 16. Bro she's so beautiful. *pulls out my phone and shows Lucky a picture.* She's 5'4 and thick with a beautiful skin complexion." I watched Lucky study the picture. "Lil Jo this my girl sister bro." We looked at each other then tripped out dapping each other up. "She been talking bout some lil knuckle head boy, I had no clue it was you nigga." I nodded my head thinking. "I really like her Luck." He looked at me long and hard. "She like you too boy. Don't make me fuck you up though, that's lil sis. I been with her sister since we was y'all age. She a good girl bro. I got you, ill help you out but if she say no then respect it. I'm not gone sit here and be like hell no you not having sex with her cause I don't know how she is when me and her sister not around. I know how it is to be a youngin wanting his first piece of draws. Wrap it up and don't break her heart or ima break you. Got it?" I nodded my head. "You don't have a phone do you?" I shook my head no. "Not yet but my birthday coming up and I'll probably get myself one, I should have enough chore money saved up by then." Lucky hit me on my back. "Get one soon, work out time. Lets go."

Lucky is my homeboy I met through my football coach at school. He went to my school and had my same coach. Coach put him on me to keep me focused and fit. Jas don't like it cause Lucky is known for being in the street and he's 19 but he doesn't be in street every since him and his ol lady moved in together. He a cool dude and he keeps me out of trouble. I think Jas will soon come around. I hope so anyway.

I got home later that night and went straight to my shower. Lucky worked me hard today. I got out the shower and went to my room to see a LG Tribute 2 sitting on my bed next to a box. "Happy early birthday bro." I jumped when I heard Jas voice. "This for me?" She nodded as she sat on my bed. I threw my dirty clothes in the basket and picked the phone up. "This dope sis. I got the lil emoji things too?" She laughed at me. "Yeah bro, you got em. But one thing, you pay your own phone bill. You been doing good with school and everything so I'll boost your chores pay to make sure you have the money but if you blow it that's on you." I nodded. "That's cool, thanks sis." We hugged each other. "You think I can go try for my license next week, my year of having my permit will be up." Jas sat there for a min. "Yeah we can do that. Get some rest i know you tired." She kissed my forehead before walking out my room shutting the door. I pulled a sticky note out my bookbag and got Lucky number. "Goodnight Snoop." I watched my dog get on his bed by my door. "Good boy."

Me: I got a phone bro, came home to a early birthday present.

I turned on my tv and turned to cartoon network.

Luck: That's what's up. Have you told Diamond??

Me: Not yet. I'll text her in morning.

Luck: Text her tonight. Now, she's sleep but let her know you just got it for a early birthday present. I'll hit you in morning. Goodnight lil brody.

Before setting my phone up how I want it I texted Diamond.

Me: What's up gorgeous. Its Josiah. I just came home to a phone for my early birthday present. I know your probably sleep so sweet dreams and goodnight.
