The cool evening breeze swept through the hideout as I returned from my nightly parkour run. Bentley and Penelope were busy tinkering with gadgets, and I wasted no time sharing the unexpected call from Seth.

"Sangue, my girl, spill the deets! What did your sweet Seth have to say?" Penelope grinned, winking playfully.

I shot her an annoyed glance. "It's not like that, Penelope. He saw something weird—green smoke, people in rat masks. Sounds like trouble."

Bentley, ever the tactician, chimed in, "So, Seth called you first? I thought it was supposed to be the other way around."

Penelope joined in, teasingly nudging me. "Yeah, Sangue, is there something you're not telling us? Secret rendezvous on the rooftops?"

I rolled my eyes, exasperated. "Quit the mushy stuff, you two. We gotta tell Sly, stat, before the situation gets ugly."

Bentley chuckled, putting aside his tools. "Alright, alright, no more teasing. Let's fill Sly in and figure out what's going on."

With a shared understanding, we gathered around Bentley's computer and contacted Sly using the Binoc-u-com. His face appeared on the screen, an inquisitive look in his eyes.

"Sly, we've got a situation," I began, explaining Seth's phone call and the strange occurrences he witnessed.

Sly's expression turned serious. "Green smoke, rat masks? That doesn't sound good. We need to investigate this immediately. I'll meet you all in the van."

As the call ended, Bentley gave me a knowing look. "Sangue, if this turns out to be a romantic gesture from Seth, you'll have some explaining to do."

I groaned, shaking my head. "Trust me, Bentley, the last thing I need is more romantic drama. Let's just focus on the job at hand."

With a shared resolve, we headed to the van, ready to confront the mysterious threat looming over the city.
