The gang gathered in the hideout, Salim's prophecy echoing in our minds like an elusive melody. The mention of the blood moon and the follower who would bring justice to the desert had us immersed in contemplation.
"Okay, let's break this down," Bentley suggested, organizing the pieces of the prophecy on the table. "The blood moon, a follower, justice... there has to be a connection."
As we brainstormed, Sangue noticed something peculiar about her reed pen. It was taking on the shape of a miniature Cooper cane. The transformation occurred smoothly, like a scene from an animated adventure. I watched in awe as Sangue underwent an anime-style transformation, her old clothes replaced by a purple cloak with a mysterious mouthpiece.
"Sangue, what just happened?" I asked, my eyes wide with amazement.
She touched the new garments, perplexed. "I... I have no idea. One moment, it was my reed pen, and now..."
Seth and Murray, grinning mischievously, pushed a mirror in front of her and said in unison, "This."
In the mirror, Sangue saw her transformed self, a figure adorned in a purple cloak with a mouthpiece that gave her an air of mystique. The realization dawned on us, and Sly looked at Salim's sketch that I kept inside my fanny pack.
"Sly, look at this," Sangue said, her voice a mix of excitement and curiosity.
I examined Salim's sketch, and it clicked. The prophecy described a follower, amongst three other thieves under the blood moon wearing a purple cloak with a unique mouthpiece—a bat with justice in its wings.
"Sangue," I said, a sense of revelation in my tone, "you've become the embodiment of the prophecy."
She looked at me, her eyes reflecting a mix of disbelief and realization. The gang exchanged glances, absorbing the gravity of the moment. Salim's ancient words had woven their way into the present, and Sangue stood at the heart of it all.
"As the prophecy foretold," Salim's voice seemed to echo in our minds, and we felt the weight of destiny settling upon us. The blood moon loomed large in the night sky, and Sangue, transformed and resolute, stood ready to face the shadows that lurked in the moonlit dunes. The journey ahead held the promise of justice, and with the prophecy guiding our steps, we ventured into the uncertain future, bound by threads woven in the stars.
