Its Cold Outside

"Why didn't you bundle up more before coming out, it's freezing." Lloyd frets, running worried eyes over his boyfriend, who is standing in three foot snow in only pants and a T-shirt.

"Because I'm the master of Fire, the cold doesn't bother me." Kai boasts, then immediately contradicts himself by shivering.

"Uh hu, come over here tough guy." Lloyd says, opening his arms to hug Kai as he trudges through the snow to get to his warmly dressed partner.

"You're lucky that I bought something just for this situation."

Kai shivers again, finally starting to think that maybe he was cold. "What is it?" He asks, teeth slightly chattering.

Lloyd reaches into his backpack and pulls out a scarf, but not just any scarf. This one is ridiculously long, looking like it could cover both of them from head to toe. "There's just one condition." Lloyd states, holding the scarf away from Kai as he tries to grab it. "We have to share it." A playful glint is in Lloyd's emerald green eyes.

"Yep, share it, got it." Kai says, reaching for the scarf again, this time Lloyd lets him grab it and wrap the two of them into it.

"Mmm, so much better." Kai murmurs, wrapping his arms tightly around Lloyd.

"Exactly, now you're not cold, and I get to hug the human equivalent of a warm blanket." Lloyd says softly, eyes slipping closed as his head comes to rest on his boyfriend's chest. "Win win for everyone."

"Don't we have things to do?" Kai asks, but he doesn't actually want to do anything. He can feel the breathing of his boyfriend start to even out as Lloyd slowly starts to fall asleep.

"Mumf, who cares," Lloyd breathes, he snuggles into Kai more, firmly trapping them both, "I've got everything I need right here. Now shush and let me sleep."

Kai chuckles slightly, but does as he's told. When Lloyd finally falls asleep Kai gently picks him up and starts to walk home. The scarf that is still wrapped around them both flutters in the light breeze, its green and red colors trailing behind the two as they make their way through the snow.
