Who needs fireplaces when your boyfriend is the human version of one

"Dang it." Lloyd says, walking into his bedroom.

"What happened now?" Kai asks, looking up from the book he is reading.

"The fire in the fireplace is out and now the living room is cold." Loyd pouts, ploping himself onto their bed with a huff.

"Why don't you just start one in it?" Kai questions, turning back to his book.

"Becasue it's soooo much work!" Lloyd complains.

"Oh, yeah? Like what?" Kai challenges Lloyd's statement.

"I've got to go outside and get wood. And then wait for it to dry. And then deal with the stupid matches and kindling. But by then I'm already frozen!" He falls backwards with a groan, kicking his feet up in the air as he does so.

Kai just laughs and shakes his head at his lazy boyfriend. Lloyd sits up with a frown and asks him, "What's so funny?"

But Kai refuses to answer, only turning the page of his book and continuing to read. After getting no responce, Lloyd is slightly annoyed. So he climbs off of the bed, walks over to Kai and just kinda stares at him for a while. Until finaly Kai looks up and cocks an eyebrow, asking, "Can I help you?"

"Yeah you can!" Lloyd half shouts, "I wanna know what you were laughing about!"

"Is that what this little temper tantrum is all about?" Kai teases.

Lloyd's jaw drops in outrage, and he furiously squeaks, "I am not throwing a temper tantrum!" Stomping a foot on the ground as he speaks.

Kai just gives him a pointed 'are you kidding me' look until Lloyd realizes that he has basically proven Kai right. He blushes slightly and looks away. Kai chuckles as he spots his boyfriend's blush, causing Lloyd to whip his head around and say, "What is it now?!"

"You look adorable when you blush."

And of course, in response to that, Lloyd just blushes even more.

"Yep, definitely adorable." Kai says again, he puts his book down and reaches for Lloyd's hands. Weaving their fingers together and pulling him closer. So close in fact, that Lloyd is practically sitting on Kai's lap, not that either of them mind that one bit.

"Hey, I just thought of something." Lloyd says, sitting up with a grin on his face.

"I really don't want to start a fire, and I just realized that I don't have to!"

"Why, cuz you think you can make me do it?" Kai says sarcastically, rolling his eyes slightly at his boyfriend.

"You almost got it." Lloyd says, still grinning.

"Instead of an actual fire, I can just snuggle with you!" He exclaims.

Kai laughs and Lloyd looks at him with a questioning look.

"I had already figured that out ages ago, Greenie." Kai explains upon seeing Lloyd's look.

Lloyd just shrugs and says, "Eh, I'm still gonna do it." And with that, he tackle-hugs Kai, wrapping his arms and legs around him.

Kai holds onto him and takes a couple steps over to their bed where he then flops both of them down onto it. Lloyd instinctively curls up against him as Kai holds him close. After a short time, Lloyd falls asleep, snoring softly into Kai's chest. Kai gently strokes his head, smiling at his very cute boyfriend.
