Forever. What can we imagine when the word is mentioned? The romantics will say love, the realists will say education, and the kids will say school. But what makes us believe in the existence of forever? How do we know if what we have right now will ever stay the same? Will love continue to be in our lives forever? Will relationships, especially the good ones, last forever?
There are so many unanswered questions. People have this thing: the fear of the future. Unfortunately, I suffer from it too. I always think about my future, plans, and life. It's pretty stressful, but I'm trying to lessen the feeling, but sometimes it gets hard. But my teacher once said, "Life will keep pushing you forward, but always remember you are living presently. Don't stress too much on what may come; focus on today."
That taught me a lot about how I shouldn't overthink the future. Instead, be happy and present. It may be hard because we, as people, tend to avoid eventual heartbreak and pain. But if we still have a heart, we shouldn't stop trying, right? And to have it beat again, even stronger than before.
We all hope for the one to be our forever. I hope that the love in my heart can live on, that it could be on the glimmering moon, so that it can last a little longer than my life.
Some unspoken rule told me that first love doesn't last, but what if it does? Forget the saying and focus on those two being in love and making it work. But they say, What if, in the future, they no longer have their hearts in sync? But that's the beauty of love. to keep wondering about the future and daydreaming of the past. There is a possibility that lovers, especially compatible ones, may no longer see each other due to circumstances, but the universe can surprise them and life can surprise them. I believe that if their hearts ever connected in the first place, the connection would pull them back together. There will be a future, with love. in 3 years, 10 years, or even 50 years. They will meet again.
