When I got to my condo, I just threw all of my stuff anywhere and went straight to my bed. I buried my face on my pillow and cried to myself like a kid who got scolded.
I contained every sob in my pillow to muffle the sound, as if someone were here and I didn't want them to find out I was crying. I stayed on the bed, weeping but I kept my ears open to hear if someone knocks on my door, or pressed the doorbell, or if the reception calls for me telling me someone is looking for me.
I cried and cried and cried. When my tears stopped, I got up from my now drenched pillow. I turned my head to the door, waiting for someone to walk in.
But no one came.
He didn't come after me.
Binasa ko aking labi at pinunasan ng aking mga palad ang aking pisngi. Tumayo ako at dumeretso sa banyo. I took my clothes off one by one, leaving it on the floor before hopping under the shower. I turned on the shower, letting the cold water wet my body.
I stayed still, the coldness of the water not even making my skin shiver. I just stayed standing there like a statue, eyes staring at the tiled-wall of my bathroom.
I blinked and tried to look over the door. It did not open even once. No one knocked.
After the bath, I changed my clothes. I dried my hair with a towel. While doing so, I looked around my room, trying to figure out what I should do.
My eyes found my laptop. That's when I remembered the voiceover LK needed me to do.
I went back to my closet and dried my hair completely with a hair-dryer. When it was done, I got back to my room and sat in front of my laptop.
I clicked on the file of our script and read the entirety of the part I needed to read for the voiceover. I practiced everything in my head for a while before I set my mic up and wore headphones that I connected to my laptop.
I took in a breath, shutting my eyes for a second. After several inhales and exhales, I opened my eyes and pressed the record button on my laptop.
