zuko's ship, earth kingdom waters.
IT TAKES FOUR DAYS OF CAMP FOR THE DAMAGES to be repaired to Zuko's ship. Four days of hard labour for the firebending crew and four days of rest for the injured waterbender. Her ankle had healed well enough but she thought it best not to exert herself with...chores ━━━━━━ much to Zuko's chagrin. Instead, she harboured all that energy towards the scroll's practices. That's how the old man and his nephew found her that day: in the midst of a brand new waterbending trick. The Water Whip. Though, after the crew had set sail and they were back on the ocean, she'd still had no such luck. Something the Prince took delight in exploiting.
"You really are the worst bender I've ever seen," Zuko taunts her from the sidelines. "Is that why your tribe exiled you?"
Jing-hai didn't turn from the deck, doing her best to ignore him. But when she fails yet another attempt, her temper gets the best of her. "Banished? But I thought that was your name. Notice how I'm only the 'Lost Princess'? Not the abandoned or the ostracized. I fled my tribe three years ago. You were outcast."
