Blue is not the trees

And green is what the sky wishes to be.

A butterfly flies across the meadow.

Catch it now

Or save it for later.

Words are exchanged.

You don't like what he does to you,

But you do the same.

Let it go

Or save it for later.

The windows open.

A gust of air enters

Just to pull my hair forward

As it exits.

Yesterday's guilt fails to elude me.

Shame stabs me.

I squeeze my chest.

Sadness chokes me.

I grab my neck.

A bird sings a tune from afar.

I lift my head, holding the wall.

It soars to the heavens

And disappears in the clouds.

I catch the tears from my eyes.

Such beauty to witness.

Thank God for sight

And a heart to feel...

Saved by grace.

His love is real.

I must keep my faith.

A reminder so small

Can go a long way.
