Jacob: hey man
I shook his hand.
Jacob: haven't talked you in a while
Chris: I know.. since graduation day. How are you man? You look great!
Jacob: im good. I'm married, got a baby on the way. I love life. How are you?
Chris: wow! I'm good! I'm getting married in may
Jacob: congratulations!
Chris: thank you! Congratulations on your wife and baby.
Jacob: thank you
Chris: is your wife andrea?
Oh andrea. I havent thought about her since the day I met y/n. She wasn't my first love. Y/n was. But I dated andrea in highschool. She cheated on me a lot, and played the victim. I eventually had enough and ended things with her.
Jacob: no her name is y/n, she's 22.
Chris: you got a picture of her?
Jacob: that's all I have
I chuckled, showing him my lockscreen.
Chris: wow.. lucky guy. But, what happened to Andrea?
Jacob: she cheated, and I had enough and left. And then like a year later I met y/n
I smiled at the thought of it as all the memories coming back of y/n.
Chris: sweet.. how'd you meet her?
Jacob: Josh booked us a vacation rental to stay at for a couple months and we ended up sharing it with her and her best friend.
Chris: dude that's so cute
I smiled.
Chris: how's Justin doing? I haven't heard from him since graduation
My heart dropped. I remember being so heartbroken when he passed.
Jacob: you havent heard?
Chris: heard what?
Jacob: he.. passed away
His jaw dropped.
Chris: no way.. wow.. what from?
Jacob: car accident.. he died immediately
Chris: oh my gosh.. that's so sad bro
I nodded.
*10:45pm*
Josh: ready?
Jacob: finally!
*at home*
I checked the bedrooms looking for y/n. Since she's not up here, I figured she'd be down in the basement. And sure enough, that's where she was. Peacefully sleeping. I slipped my arm under her legs and the other under her back, and gently picked her up holding her close to my chest.
Y/n: Jacob?
She whispered.
Jacob: mhm?
I looked down at her as i slowly walked up the stairs. I saw a small smile spread across her face and she hummed in appreciation, curling further into me if that was even possible.
Y/n: you smell so strong of alcohol
She whispered.
Jacob: yeah me and Josh went to a party
Y/n: who's party?
Her voice was still calm.
Jacob: Chris's. He's an old friend from highschool
Y/n: he was at the wedding wasn't he?
She asked with her eyes still closed.
Jacob: yes.. You're not mad?
Y/n: Did you kiss another girl?
Jacob: no
Y/n: have sex?
Jacob: no
Y/n: get crazy drunk?
She giggled.
Jacob: no.. im carrying you, aren't I?
I joked, chuckling softly.
Y/n: then im not mad.. I'm not gonna get mad at you for partying baby.. i just don't want you to get into a habit of coming home drunk a lot
Jacob: i would never do that
I assured, as I laid her down, putting the covers over her. I grabbed some clothes, taking a quick shower so I can smell decent for her. I came out 5 minutes later with damp hair. Hoping she wouldn't mind. I laid next to her, her back back against my chest as my arms went around her waist. Suddenly, her arm went under mine and she moved my arm near her neck, laying it across her chest.
Y/n: i love you
She whispered.
Jacob: i love you more. goodnight beautiful.
I kissed her head.
