He appears in Boatem. Before he can process anything at all, he is, once again, nearly knocked over. A head of slightly longer, brunette hair is all he can see of the person that hugs him. Then he pulls away and Grian's heart swells.

"Scar!"

"You're back!" Scar bounces up and down excitedly. Impulse steps in front of him to give Grian a hug. "I was so scared you weren't going to come back!"

"Why wouldn't I come back?"

"I don't know," says Scar, pausing to think. Grian grins.

"Welcome home, buddy," says Impulse.

"Thanks," he says. He takes in the familiar surroundings, his house, his mountain, the train. Tension he doesn't even know he has slowly releases as he looks around. Relief floods through him.

And then he sees Mumbo. The mustached man is plunging down towards them, his elytra bent like Grian imagines a falcon's wings are when they are pitched in a dive. He shoots towards the ground and then the metallic wings open up completely and he pulls up and glides towards them. Grian smiles like a toddler.

"Mumbo!"

"Hi!" Mumbo's trajectory slows down and he is able to land a few feet in front of them.

"Oh my gosh, Mumbo!" cries Grian. He races over and hugs the man. Mumbo looks confused but Grian could care less as he is suddenly filled with excitement. He is actually home, and despite his worst fears, his friends are alive. His necklace hums from over his heart. He pulls it from beneath his sweater and pulls that feeling up.

A hologram appears, it is almost the exact same as the one in the game; however he likes this one more. On the hologram there is a message from Gem.

GeminiTay: You make it?

"Is that what I think it is?" wonders Impulse, nodding towards the necklace. Grian taps the chat icon so that the keyboard appears. He responds and hits send, then he lets go and the feeling returns to his gut. The hologram disappears.

"Kind of."

"Who's 'GeminiTay'?" Scar asks. They all look at Grian curiously.

"The one who saved me." Mumbo looks even more confused.

"Saved you from what?"

"Myself."
