CHAPTER TWO,

"If I just never get out of bed, will I still get forced into the hunger games?" Olivia Gray groans, rolling around in her sheets as Joshua had spent the last ten minutes trying to get her out of her bed.

"Today is all about making allies, Liv." Josh sighs, annoyed due to having to repeat himself as he tugs on his training shirt. "If you want to be alone out there, be my guest."

Olivia Gray rolls her eyes, groaning and pulling the blanket off of her, rising from the bed. Joshua walks over to her side, dumping a pile of clothes on the end of the bed.

"Our escort dropped these off earlier, put them on." He informs her, pointing to the pile.

Olivia pulls the outfit up in the air and examines. "Glad they've upped their game when it comes to making training clothes. I mean the least they could do before they kill us is make sure we're comfortable, right?"

Josh grins, but doesn't reply, leaving Olivia alone in her room to get ready.

Olivia Gray takes a seat down in front of the mirror, brushing her hair as a memory floated in her head...

TWELVE YEARS AGO...

"Well, aren't you just the most beautiful thing to ever walk this planet." Lucy Gray smiles in awe, as Olivia walks out of her bedroom in the brand new dress her grandmother made for her. "Come on now, give us a twirl!"

Olivia giggles, as she spins around, the material flying in the air as she stops and takes a bow.
"I love it, Grandmother."

Lucy gray walks over to Olivia, stroking a piece of her hair and brushing it behind her perfectly small ears. "Come on, Peach. Let's brush this hair of yours, looks like a bird's nest has been living up there!"

As little Olivia Gray sits in front of her mirror, Lucy Gray sits behind her, brushing gently on the strands of her hair.

"Grandmother?"

"Yes, dear?"

"Can you sing for me?"

Lucy Gray smiled. Nothing more she loved to do then sing. Especially when her grand daughter was the one asking.

"Of course, darling."

"Oft I had heard of Lucy Gray
And, when I crossed the wild,
I chanced to see at break of day
The solitary child.
No mate, no comrade Lucy knew
She dwelt where none abide
The sweetest thing that ever grew
Upon the mountainside..
You yet may spy the fawn at play
The hare among the green
But the sweet face of Lucy Gray
Will never more be seen."

Olivia was snapped out of her day dream by the sound of a knock on her bedroom door.

"Come on, we gotta go!" Josh reminded her, as she sighed and finished tying up her hair.

As they headed down towards the training centre, Olivia fidgets with her hair, anxiously awaiting to see all the more experienced victor's in action.

"Remember today is all about making allies. I'm sure everyone in here will be after the same goal." Josh reminds her, as she rolls her eyes for the millionth time.

"Can't me and you just run away and hide in a cave like Peeta and Katniss?" Olivia Gray suggests, shooting down the idea of having to make friends with anyone.
