Jungkook Hybrid x reader

Pre-Rut

Today has been an interesting day at work. What I mean is that Jungkook's been acting weird. He's been more touchy with me since the date we had with Jess and Jason. But what I especially noticed today is that he doesn't want to be away from me at all. He's constantly has some contact with me and if I have to walk away he whines. He even growled at Jason. Jason came up to the front counter and we started talking. Jason had his hand on my shoulder and Jungkook got really upset. He did a low growl and ripped Jason's arm away. I had to rub his ears to calm him down. I don't know what's going on with him. Right now Jungkook went to the bathroom so I was handling the front counter alone. Just then Seokjin and Namjoon come in.

"Hi Y/n!" Seokjin says.

"Hey Y/n, where's Jungkook?" Namjoon adds.

"Oh he went to the bathroom." I walk around the counter. "It's so nice of you to come visit."

"Well we had to see your amazing bakery for ourselves!" I laugh at Seokjin's comment and hug him. Then I hear a really loud growl. Before I can even move away from Seokjin to see what it was, Seokjin gets pushed away from me. It was Jungkook. He pulls me into his embrace and continues to growl at Seokjin.

"MINE! MY MATE!" Jungkook yells holding me tightly. Jess and Jason come to the front looking very confused at what's happening right now. Luckily there's no customers at the moment.

"Oh shit..." I turn to Namjoon wondering why he said that.

"What? What's wrong?" Jungkook starts scenting me and I rub his ears to calm him down again.

"He stopped taking his suppressants didn't he?" Seokjin asks Namjoon. He nods his head saying yes.

"Probably."

"But didn't you give him extra in his bag?"

"He must have went through them all and forgot to ask me for more." Ok they are having a whole conversation and I'm just confused.

"Guys?!" They both turn and look at me. "What's going on with Jungkook? What do you mean by him taking suppressants?" I feel Jungkook tense up when I asked the last question.

"You didn't tell her Kook?" Namjoon asks Jungkook. He doesn't respond and Namjoon sighs.

"Tell me what?"

"Jungkook. Let's go talk." Namjoon says with authority. Jungkook whines but reluctantly lets me go and follows Namjoon. Namjoon walks up to Jason.

"Do you have a back room we can go to?"

"Of course, it's the door to the left." Says Jason.

"Thank you." Namjoon goes to the back with Jungkook trailing behind him. As I'm watching them go to the back, Seokjin comes up to me.

"Seokjin I'm so confused."

"I know. I have a question though." I nod my head telling him to continue. "When you took care of Yoongi did you buy him any hybrid medication?" I look back to when I first took Yoongi in. I remember asking him if there was any essential hybrid stuff he would need.

"I remember buying him one type of medication. He told me it helped him suppress his animal instincts. I assumed he was taking it because we didn't want to risk the possibility of my parents getting rid of him." Seokjin sighs.

"So he didn't tell you either."

"Tell me what?!" I'm really getting sick of not knowing what's happening right now. He better start explaining or else I'll threaten to hit his world wide handsome face.

"Do you know what a rut is?" Seokjin asks me.

"Isn't it a male's version of a female going into heat?" Jason butts in.
