Friendships?

Pansy was so relieved to see how much better Sunny got.
No one said anything anymore.
No one dared to.

She hadn't seen Ladwell for a long time.
Rumours had it that he had spend an respectable amount of time on the hospital wing.
The boys didn't even tried to hide their injuries.
It was an open secret what had happened.
But no one addressed it luckily.

Pansy noticed how Enzo and Sunny got even closer together.
They were inseparable.
Sometimes she was kind of jealous.
Sunny was also her best friend.
Even though Enzo was very popular with the girls, what was understandable because he was handsome, tall, kind, a real gentleman.
But since the day he had almost ran Sunny over, Pansy had noticed how he had only eyes for her.

And even if everyone could see this the two were like blind.
Pansy had no idea why they weren't together by now.

At dinner Pansy watched how Enzo applied some of that paste on Sunnys eye that Tom had gave him.
Even though the bruise was practically gone.
He insisted to keep this up just to be sure.
He didn't even let her do it herself.
He always mentioned that Tom gave him the task and had said that he trusts Enzo.

Pansy watched how Sunny stared up to Enzo with the sweetest smile ever.
If this look wasn't love Pansy thought she wouldn't even knew what love is.

Matty interrupted the scene as he shoved himself next to Sunny and layed his arm around her shoulders.

„Hey little sunshine"

„Call me little one more time and you're dead"

She hissed.
She hated it when they called her short.
She was shorter than any of them but Pansy had to admit that all of them were pretty tall.
She hated it to the bone when someone mentioned it.

Except for Enzo.
His nr 1 nickname for her was shortcake.
She sometimes gave him an annoyed look but said nothing more.
The complete opposite to the others.

Theo and Matty had made a sport out of flirting with her.
Pansy douded that they were serious.
They knew for sure that she and Enzo were made for each other.
But they had fun with it nonetheless.

„Ohhh sunshine don't be like that"

he pulled her closer and kissed her cheek.
She laughed loud and shoved him back.

„Let me eat Matty. And breath"

she said dramatically.
He squeezed her playfully and she protested loudly.

„Let her live. I still need her. You idiot."

Tom's voice made Matty jump.

„Is 6 still on?"

Tom said in a way nicer and sweeter tone to Sunny.

„Sure thing."

she smiled sweet up to him.

Toms and Sunnys relationship was so odd.
The grumpy, scary, intimidating and rule loving Tom Riddle was some how friends with the giggly, sweet, nice and funny Sunny.
They had doubled their meetings.
They saw each other every week to study.

Pansy still couldn't quite get behind it.
Tom was different around her.
He also was very protective about her.
Almost like a big brother.
Much to Mattys dislike.

But Pansy couldn't quite figure out if he really just saw her as a kind of sister or if he maybe fancied her.
Even though Pansy was sure that Tom wasn't Sunnys type.
They had talked about stuff like this a lot.
And from Sunnys description it was clear that she would not fancy Tom.
To be honest her description was like hearing someone just describe Enzo.

Later at night Pansy and Sunny had made out to meet at the astronomy tower after she had finished studying with Tom.
Pansy was already up at their secret Balkony.

They hadn't told anyone about it.
It was a thing between her and Sunny.
Even though Pansy knew that Tom knew about this.

As far as Pansy knew Sunny had shown him a couple of times.
Just so he would know where she is.
He would come here some times to smoke but he never showed up when the two were here.

Pansy heard footsteps on the stairway.
Sunny entered the balkony followed by Tom.

„Oh Tom. What an honour"

Pansy said sarcastically.

„No need for that. I'm leaving right away. I just wanted to make sure she gets here. It's already late. Don't stay to long and please don't get caught"

Sunny rolled her eyes.
It was so strange.
Tom was one of the prefects.
He loved rules.
But for her he made an exception.
He let her stay out after curfew.
Probably because he knew she would do it anyways.

„And text me when you're back"

he said sharp and hugged her.

„Yes moooom"

she laughed.

„Watch your mouth doll"

he said with an slight annoyed look and left.

„God he really thinks I'm a little kid"

she huffed and sat down next to Pansy.

„He cares. Even if it's strange to see Tom care for anyone"

Pansy laughed.

„Yeah well he isn't that bad. Even the stone cold Tom had feelings"

„Yeah for you"

„Oh Pansy stopp it. It's not like that"

„Sureeeeee"

She shot Pansy an angry look.

„Come on I'm kidding. Everyone knows you belong to someone else"

„Oh not that again"

„Everyone can see this Sunny. I still can't get why you guys can't see it"

„Because I don't want to Pansy"

She sighed deep.
Pansys look got a bit more serious.

„Sunny what's wrong? He makes you happy. Where's the problem?"

Sunny looked up into the cloudy sky.

„Because I've seen how this ends. And I don't want this.
I'm so scared. I don't wanna ruin this friendship"

„Sunny he would never cheat on you. Not Enzo. And I'm so 100% sure he feels the Same"

„I can't Pansy. Really I can't. Maybe some day but right now I don't want anything to change."

Pansy looked over to her.
She could see small tears sparkle in her eyes.
Pansy pulled her closer.

„It's ok. I'm pretty sure he can wait"

Pansy tried to cheer her up.
She changed the topic and successfully managed to get Sunnys mind off of this topic.

She could understand Sunnys thoughts but she also knew that this situation wasn't good for both of them.
