Sunny

I was so glad that Pansy seemed to believe me.
I hadn't had such a nice and relaxed talk with someone in a while.
Somehow it felt right to open up to Pansy.
I didn't knew why.

We walked back to our dorms.
We discovered that her dorm was actually not far from mine.

We were out so late that I hadn't much sleep.
But it was ok.
I hadn't slept peacefully or long in almost two years now.

I walked in the great hall, past all the tables to the slytherin table.
I sat down in a quiet place where no much people were.
I was deep down into a book while eating as I noticed how someone sat down next to me.
I looked up confused.
I looked into some absolutely beautiful green eyes.

„Pansy? What are you doing here?"

„Getting breakfast of course"

she smiled bright.

„Pansy you know you don't have to-„

I started but she shushed me.

„No complaining pretty girl. I don't do this out of pity or something like that. I liked our talk and want to know more about you. I mean we're still partners"

she winked slightly. I felt a light blush creep on my cheeks.
I couldn't really tell if she was flirting with me or if she was just nice.
But what would I have to lose?

We actually had our first class together.
We walked down the corridors together.
She talked very much but I liked it.
It was nice if it wasn't always that silent.
She told me about her friends.
I had heard a couple of names of them.

I mean everyone knew who Mattheo Riddle and Draco Malfoy were.
Theodore Nott was also a name I knew, since he was always with Mattheo.
I also knew who Atoria and Daphne were.

The names I had no clue or face to were Blaise Zabini and Lorenzo Berkshire.

I didn't really knew any of them but from her description they all seemed quite nice.
She talked about introducing me to them but I denied. Gladly she accepted this without asking but only added that she would love to when I'm ready.

Part of her wish was fulfilled sooner than I thought.

We turned around a corner and someone almost ran me over.

I stumbled, all my books and papers fell to the ground and I lost my balance.

„Ouch"

I mumbled.
I looked up to a very tall guy.
His face was one of pure guilt.
He had fluffy and messy brown hair and beautiful brown eyes.
I thought he was hella cute.
He immediately kneeled next to me and helped me up.
His eyes met mine and I could swear I had seen him blush.

„I'm so so sorry. I didn't see you. I'm so sorry"

He mumbled and kneeled back down to pick up all my stuff.

Pansy bursted out in loud laughter.
We both looked at her confused.

„Oh my god Enzo when will you finally learn to watch where you're going?"

„Pansy? What are you doing here?"

he asked confused but smiling.
He handed me my stuff with the sweetest smile ever.

„Thank you."

I said quiet.

„I'm walking to transfiguration with Aelia"

she smiled and nudged my arm.

„Oh Aelia this is Enzo.
I mean Lorenzo Berkshire.
Enzo this is Aelia Fairhall"

„Oh your astronomy partner right? Nice to meet you. Oh and call me Enzo. No one says Lorenzo. And I'm really sorry I hope you're not hurt"

He talked and talked.
I had to smile.
He seemed nervous.

„Oh no it's ok. I'm fine don't worry"

I said giving him a reassuring smile.
He stared at me with the sweetest smile ever.
Then he snapped out of his trance and looked at Pansy.

„You have transfiguration now too? Let's go together"

„Yeah cool. Oh ehm is this ok Aelia?"

„uhm yeah sure why not"

I shrugged.
He seemed polite so I wouldn't mind.
And it was kind of fun seeing the two talk.
They were non stop talking.

In class we sat down in a row.
Pansy, me and then Enzo.
I asked them if they wanted to switch places because they kept talking through class but they denied stating they wanted to include me.

I was good enough in transfiguration so I didn't mind it.
I had made some notes in my notebook as Enzo leaned over to me.

„Is that how you spell your name?"

he asked pointing on the cover where my name was written.

„uhm yeah why?"

„Isn't that the Latin word for sun?"

„Well kind of."

I smiled slightly.
Not much people knew that.

„Well have to say it suites you."

I got bright red.
I wasn't really used to compliments.
Pansy giggled.

„Well he's right. Would make a great nickname"

„A nickname?"

I asked confused.

„Yes all of us have one. You need one too"

she smiled.

„But why?"

„Because we're friends now and that's what friends do"

she nudged my shoulder.
It took me some seconds to realise what she just said.

„Friends?"

„Yes of course! Don't be silly."

„She adopted you now. You're not getting out of it"

Enzo chuckled.

„I uhm never had a nickname"

I admitted embarrassed.

„What?"

Pansy said loud what caused the professor to admonish her.

„Really?"

Enzo asked in a little bit too concerned tone.

„Well yes. There is no short form for Aelia"

I said shrugging.

„Well but I think there's potential."

Pansy said thinking.

„I mean your name means sun."

she mumbled.
Enzo looked at me deep in thoughts.
I smiled at the sight of these two thinking so hard.

„Sunny"

Enzo said softly.

„Oh that's great!"

Pansy said happy.

„Sunny? Why that?"

I asked curiously.

„I mean your name means sun. And ehm your smile is really beautiful. It's like sunshine"

Enzo explained with a clearly red face.
I laughed nervously but I thought it was so cute.

„Alright so Sunny it is!"

Pansy hugged me from the side.
It felt weird but so good.
I had almost forgot how it was to have friends.
Deep down I was still battling with myself.
I wanted this but I was so scared.
