Exam phase

I would have said something when I had known what was about to happen.

This week was draining for me.
We had a couple exams and Tom occupied me more than usual to make me fit for these exams.

I had barely time to do anything with the others.
On thrursday evening we finally made time to meet up in the common room.
We currently had a lot of fun watching Matty being in a very uncomfortable situation with a 4th year girl.

Penelope was known for having the biggest crush on Matty.
It was painfully obvious.
He had decided to mess with her a little and had sat next to her and talked to her.
But now he had no  chance to escape her.
She was all over him.
Flirting with him and giggling.

The boys laughed at his alarming looks over to us.
He was practically screaming for help.
But the guys decided it was too funny.
After a while I had enough.
He looked really devastated and Penelope got closer and closer.

„Is no one going to help him?"

„Oh come on Sunny. He navigated himself in this. And it's funny"

Theo grinned.

„You're evil!"

I said and got up.
They all groaned knowing I would go and help him.

I approached the couch the two were sitting on from behind and layed my hands on Mattys shoulders.

„Matty we're late to meet up with the others"

I said sweet leaning slightly down to him.
Penelope shot me an awful and hateful look.

Matty saw how pissed Penelope was and took his chance.
He grabbed my arm and pulled me over the back rest into his lap.
He grinned at my bright red face.

„Sunny sweetie. Of course I would love nothing more than to go with you"

I was so suprised by his sudden action that I just stared at him in shock.
It was nothing new that Matty would practically throw me around just to piss me off.
But this was different.
He pecked a little kiss on my cheek.
Penelope's face went bright red and was full of anger. She got up without a word and left.
Matty watched her and then pulled me closer into a hug.

„My saviour, my queen"

he said dramatically as he squeezed me.

„Matty stop! Don't make me regret helping you"

I giggled and squirmed out of his arms.
He followed me to the others.
They all were laughing and making fun of him.
Except for Enzo.
He looked really pissed.
He didn't even talked to me or Matty that evening.
But my mind was too busy to ask that same evening.

On Friday I had my last exam.
I came out of the classroom pretty satisfied with myself and almost walked into Tom.

„Oh. What are you doing here?"

„Looking how your exam went. You learned hard for it"

„Oh it was great. I think the work was worth it"

„Of course. I taught you"

I rolled my eyes at his words.

„I told you not to do that, doll"

„And I won't listen"

I laughed and poked out my tongue.
He smirked ever so slightly.

„So care to join me for a butterbeer?"

I stared up to Tom with a shocked look.

„Tom Riddle? Going out and drinking a butterbeer? Having fun? And then with me? Bet I won't miss that"

„I just think you need a reward for that."

I eyed him suspiciously.

„Where's the real Tom? This is scary"

I laughed loud.
He frowned slightly and I nudged his arm.

„I appreciate it and I would love to. We just have to be back early because I don't wanna miss the ravenclaw party tonight for the end of exams"

„We will manage that. Some of my friends will be there too so I'm gonna bring you there"

„Well well. Tom has friends."

He shot me a look and I laughed.

„You're too easy to piss off"

After I got changed we went to hogsmeade and had some butterbeer.
It was nice to just talk to Tom like that.
For one time he was not so serious.
We actually talked a bit about the relationship with Matty.
I knew he loved his brother even though he couldn't show it.
Matty was a real trouble maker what Tom highly disliked.
But nonetheless he cared for him.
Even when Matty wouldn't see it.

I almost spat out my drink as Tom asked something.

„So how are things with Enzo?"

I eyed him suspicious.

„I'm really starting to think you're ill or something. Tom you don't have to ask. I know it's not quite your topic."

„But I wanna know. I don't know why but I care for you like I care for Matty. And I want to make sure you're treated right"

„That's so sweet Tom"

„Stop. I asked something"

„Well when he talkes to me everything is fine."

I said shrugging.
Enzo still hadn't talked with me or replied to my texts.

„What do you mean when he talkes to you?"

„He hasn't spoken to me since yesterday. I don't know what his problem is"

„Ohh that's why he asked"

My eyes shot up to him.

„Ask what?"

I knew Enzo highly respected Tom and had always looked up to him.

„If there is something between you and Matty"

„Why would he ask this? He knows there is nothing"

„Well seems like he doubts it"

Tom's look was unreadable.
I stared at my drink and thought.
Why would he think that?
Because of how Matty acted last evening?
But this was nothing new.
Why would he be so pissed?

„Come on doll. Just talk to him later"

„Well yes I guess."

But this questions kept stuck in my head.
