Chapter 11

"Damn, where are those kids?" Doc checked his watch and paced around frantically in the courtyard. It was almost time for the lighting to strike the clock tower. And Marty and Jamie were nowhere to be in sight. He rechecked his watch,
"Damn," and again, "Damn, damn!"
Luckily enough, the boys were pulling in Doc's car. They got out of the car and began rushing over to Doc.
"You're late, do you have no concept of time?" Doc exclaimed at them.
"Don't blame me, I tried to stop him but he wouldn't stop complaining on the ride here," Jamie said. Marty was wearing his get-up from when they originally arrived in 1955. Jamie was still wearing his suit, minus the jacket, dress shoes, and socks, going completely barefoot.
"Hey c'mon Jamie, I had to change you think I'm going back in that zoot suit?" Marty said as he, Jamie, and Doc began unraveling the fabric covering the Delorean.
"Well, it could've saved us a little more time than the time we pretty much didn't have to get here," Jamie snarked at him. Marty rolled his eyes before speaking again.
"Doc, the old man really came through it worked," Marty said.
"What?" Doc asked.
"He laid out Biff in a single punch," Jamie said to him, still surprised that he witnessed that moment happen right in front of his eyes.
"He did! I never knew he had it in him. He never stood up to Biff in his life," Marty said, handing over the picture. Doc checked to see Marty and his siblings were back to normal in the picture.
"Never?" Doc asked thinking about the implications of what was described.
"No, why, what's a matter?" Marty asked but Doc brushed it off for now.
"Alright, let's set you boys' destination time," The three went over to the driver's side. Doc opened the door and sat in the seat pointing over to the now working time circuits.
"This is the exact time you left," pointed to the bottom of the circuits.

LAST TIME DEPARTED
"Let's send you both back at exactly the same time," Doc typed on the number pad.

DESTINATION TIME
"It'll be like you never left," Doc then got out of the car and began explaining to the boys what to do.
"Now, I painted a white line on the street way over there, that's where you start from. I've calculated the precise distance taking into account the acceleration speed and wind resistance retroactively from the moment the lightning strikes. Which will be exactly 7 minutes and 22 seconds,"
While he was explaining, Doc checked his clock just to make sure he got the time right before going back to what he was saying. "When this alarm goes off, you hit the gas,"
"Right!" Marty shouted out due to the wind getting stronger to the point where it wouldn't be possible for all of them to speak at a normal volume. Doc then winded up an alarm clock before setting it right next to the speedometer.
"Well, I guess that's everything," Doc took a look around before returning his attention to the boys he's gotten to know throughout the week.
"Thanks," The boys said together. Goodbyes were hard, especially this one for a sad reason.
