The next day after school, Marty and Jamie were at the Texaco gas station right next to the cafe where Amy was sitting and chatting with Lorraine and the girls about upcoming events like the dance. They were joined by Aiden as he and Jamie were leaning next to the gas pump drinking a bottle of Pepsi while Marty was struggling with opening his not knowing that the bottle opener was right next to him on the gas pump.
"Should I tell him or...?" Aiden whispered to Jamie confused at seeing Marty not knowing that the only way to open the bottle was with the opener right next to him, but Jamie brushed it off since he found it amusing to watch his crush struggle in his predicament.
"Nah, give him a second he'll figure it out," Jamie whispered back at him.
Suddenly Geroge was running through the courtyard distressed from the encounter last night as he narrowly crossed the street to get to the trio. He then called out of breath, "Marty, Marty!" the three of them then looked at the other teen coming their way.
"Hey, George Buddy," Marty said. "Where have you been you pal?" Aiden asked. "Yeah, you weren't at school what happened?" Jamie chimed in.
"I overslept; look I need your help. I have to ask Loraine out, but I don't know how to do it," George said to Marty while catching his breath.
"Alright, okay listen, keep your pants on, she's over in the cafe. God how do you..." Marty tried to open the bottle again but to no avail which made George grab the bottle from his hand and use the bottle opener next to him to open it and handed it back to him as he ran straight towards the cafe.
Marty then looked at the two next to him. Jamie who was snickering and Aiden gave him a face that said, "Your serious right now?". "Did you both know this was here...never mind" Marty turned away to make his way over to George.
"I may have misheard, but did he tell him to keep his pants on?" Aiden asked confused about what Marty just told George.
"Don't question it," was all Jamie could say taking a glance at him. He made his way over to Marty and George with Aiden trailing behind.
"What made you change your mind, George?" Marty called out to George walking side by side with him as Jamie and Aiden caught up with them.
"Last night, Darth Vader came down from planet Vulcan, and his companion, Frank-N-Furter from the planet Transylvania told me that if I wouldn't take Loraine out, they would melt my brain," George explained distraught.
"Yeah, well uh, let's keep this brain-melting stuff to ourselves, okay?" Marty said while adjusting George's jacket "Oh yeah, yeah," George nodded in agreement.
"Ok George, there she is over there right behind the window. All you have to do is go in and ask her out to the dance," Jamie encouraged him while looking at Lorraine and her group of friends through the cafe window.
"Okay, but I don't know what to say," George paced around nervously.
"Just say anything, George" Jamie influenced him. "Yeah, think about what I say to Amy all the time, the first thing that comes to your mind," Aiden told him hoping that would give George some idea.
"Nothing's coming to my mind," George said after thinking for a second.
"Jesus, George, it's a wonder I was ever born," Marty said which made Jamie snicker a little. "What?" Both Aiden and George said in unison confused by what Marty meant by that and why Jamie was laughing at his statement.
