Chapter 7

+↔↔↔↔↔↔+

Lunch had arrived and both boys approached their respective fathers in the cafeteria. Jamie met Aiden at the edge of a table sitting by himself. He noticed that Aiden was doodling on a notebook and was drawing a picture of his girlfriend. Jamie felt speechless to see his dad doing an activity like this, even though Foxsons had "Many talents he was surprised to see him draw like it was a hobby. Jamie took a seat across from the table so he could face Aiden.

"Hey Aiden, say I didn't know you could draw," he said, intrigued while admiring the illustrations on the notebook. If he was being honest, seeing his dad actively doing a hobby like illustrating made Jamie wonder why he didn't pursue an art career.

"Oh yeah, I'm an artist. it's one of my talents that I'm pretty proud of. I usually like to draw Amy,' Aiden said. He showed a beautifully drawn portrait of Amy that Jamie couldn't help but be in awe at the pic. Sure, a Foxson has many secret talents but why did his dad never continue life with a talent like this?

"Get out of town, this is incredible! Have you ever thought about pursuing a career in art?" Jamie asked enthusiastically while flipping through the pages of Aiden's notebook.

"I have considered it, but I don't see myself having a major career in the future> I mean who would even admire my art in general?" Aiden shrugged. Jamie felt sorrow for him. He knew where he was coming from of course since he himself had those thoughts, particularly from the audition, but seeing his dad putting a protentional successful future career down the chute was pretty depressing to witness. Especially since this was the person who would encourage him to follow his dreams.

"I'm impressed by this dad-Aiden! You can't just talk down on yourself. You could get far with this. You know there this saying a good friend of mine once said, "If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything" Jamie said trying to support Aiden. Thinking back to that audition, Doc's quote could've helped him better. Nah who was he kidding those judges still wouldn't barge on them.

"Interesting, that's the first piece of advice I've ever gotten from someone. Usually, I'm the one having to give advice," Aiden said now thinking about it. Jamie knew it might've been risky to suggest his teenage dad having a career different than the one he had in 1985 due to all the talk of messing up the timeline and the space-time continuum, but Jamie knew he couldn't have his dad live in regret about not pursuing a major significant career in his life.

"Keep that advice for someone special," Jamie said asurringly, knowing that Aiden was going to have a kid in the future that was gonna really need it.

Their conversation was interrupted when Jamie heard a commotion from the table across from his right. He could see Biff forcing Lorraine to sit on his lap while touching her sides inappropriately while she tried to push him off herself. He could also see Amy trying her best to get Biff away from her.

"C'mon, Leave me alone," Lorraine said trying to escape his grip.

"You want it, you know you want it, and you know you want me to give it to you," Biff said, having no care for what he was doing with his evil smile.

"Hey! You leave her alone and shut your mouth Biff, She's not that kind of girl!" Amy said standing towards Biff and giving him a good old slap that caused Biff to turn his attention towards her.

"And look what we have here, the virtuous Carter herself," Biff stood up and began to grab her sides roughly trying to make out with her which caught both Jamie and Aiden's attention. And boy were the two mad. Aiden for seeing his girlfriend being harassed by Biff, and same with Jamie for seeing his mother be touched inappropriately.
