One week later
Carvida walked back home with a bright smile on her face. Finally!! Her book is out! She was more than happy today, after so much hardwork, editing and meetings with Mr Roger. Her book was finally released and she was certain, everyone will love it especially with the stalker's personality and aura. Now that she thinks about it... The stalker she wrote did resemble 'L' except he was more gorgeous than anyone she had ever met.
She felt a smile tug at the corners of her lips at the thought of L and continued to walk but a man stood right in front of her making her stop abruptly. "You are Miss Gray right?" The man asked, his voice deep and dark.
"Yes" She replied with a neutral expression but her heart raced. Who could that man be? How did he know her name? Intrigued, she stared at his appearance. The man was definitely in his late 30s. He had brown hazelnut eyes, fair skin and dark brown hair that was pulled back with gel. He was dressed in simple black pants, a black t-shirt that showed his muscles and a black leather jacket. He gave off a dark vibe. One that she did not quite like for sure.
"Good. I was looking for you. I'm Alexander's Uncle" The man replied looking at her with narrowed eyes, making her heart skip a beat. Oh fuck... She was just happy! Damn could not she have a break? Always a new problem... Nonetheless, she took a deep breath, kept a calm composure before answering.
"I see.. Is there any news about Alexander?" Carvida asked calmly.
"Unfortunately no. That officer is good for nothing. I made him drop the case. I'll take care of it myself" The man replied clenching his jaw. His brown hazelnut eyes filled with mistrust. Who the hell was that guy? How could he just make a police officer give up like that? Was he influential? Good lord who had her stalker messed with...
"I hope you find him soon" She replied trying her best not to seem stress.
"I hope too. And you are my first suspect. So tell me. What exactly happened that night you were with him? " The man asked staring into her eyes as if he was trying to read her like an open book. But she was not going to speak up just like that.
"Exactly what I told the officer. It's what happened Sir" She replied not looking away from him. She was definitely not one to be intimidated by a man.
"Are you sure about that?" The man asked raising an eyebrow.
"Of course I'm sure" She replied calmly. The man's eyes narrowed even more clearly not believing her.
"Very well... I shall see you around. I'll be living in Alexander's house now" The man replied with a stoic expression. Great...Now Alexander's uncle was on her back. Ugh could things get worse?
"Alright. Wish you all the best in your research" She replied dryly definitely not happy with the news.
"Thanks. My name is Aziel Keith by the way. Keep it in mind young lady" He said his eyes holding a glint of cruelty. But she was not scared. Definitely not.
"I'll keep it in mind" She replied with a fake smile before pushing past him and walking up to her house. She then opened her door and looked over her shoulder to find the man still standing there. His eyes glued on her.
She looked away and walked inside her house. As soon as she closed the door, she exhaled deeply. She had a feeling this man would not be easy to fool like Officer John. She was not scared but she had to be careful. Her stalker as well. Talking about him. It seemed he was now always going to drop letters and blue roses in her room itself while she was asleep.
But... Maybe it was better that way especially with that Aziel here now. Pushing away the conversation she had with that man. She sat on her couch, took the letter of her stalker in hand and opened it. She had left home early and did not get to read it. Might as well do it now :
My little flower,
Congratulations, your book is finally being released. You will surely reach out to the very top because you are talented. You have a way with your writing that will surely keep your readers hooked from the start till the end. I'm sure your book will be a hit.
I'm proud of you baby. Keep working like that. You are intelligent, sexy and hardworking. Don't forget that. Also... I know you have to attend the party of Mr Roger but I'm warning you. Don't drink much there and don't fucking wear dresses that will reveal your beautiful skin to other men there. I'm dead serious about it.
And... Don't.. Don't you dare to disobey me like last time with Alexander. If you do. You know the consequences won't be pretty little flower.
-L
She scowled deeply. See that was the problem with 'L'. He always had something sweet and encouraging to say to her but then sometimes he would add threats like that which pissed her off. Badly. Why the actual fuck could not she wear what she wanted to?!
She threw the letter on the table in frustration and stood up. She was definitely not going to obey him. Tonight, she would drink to her contentment and wear what she wanted. She just released her book. She deserved to have fun and L was not going to stop her from doing what she wanted. He did not own her. He never will.
