I watched him sit down at the table, a piece of paper in his hand and a quill in the other.

"What are you writing, my love?"

"A wedding invitation." I stopped chewing and looked at him.

"Whose getting married? Us?" He looked at me for a second, then went back to writing. He always did this. He wanted to get a rise out of his brother, doing whatever he could to do it. Well, not his brother, but his Hand. My lover and the Hand did not see eye to eye, on anything. I have no idea how this rivalry started, and I didn't really care. I agreed with Daemon, Otto was a cunt.

I watched him write the letter, how his eyebrows scrunched when he paused in thought, and the ticking noise he made with his tongue when he was pleased.

"He won't come." I told him.

"I know, darling. I did steal Dreamfyre's egg for a reason."

"What devious lies are your writing, my love?"

"Only small, innocent ones, darling." I took the last bite of my meat and watched his face.

"Like what?" He bit his bottom lip and held out the letter. I reached across the table, and took the paper from him.

"You said we are to be married tomorrow. You said that we are expecting an heir." I handed the letter back to him.

"Daemon, you can't just send that letter and expect no retaliation. Even though you are the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, the king will not like it."

"But I want them to retaliate!" I grabbed his hand.

"I love you, but I don't want to see you be killed."

"They won't. I'll have the City watch behind me. And I'll have you." He put his other hand on top of mine.

"I'll stand with you forever, and I think you should add something more to that letter." I looked deep into his eyes.

"What, darling?" He looked back at me, with intrigue.

"That we demand the entire court to come see our wedding." I smiled and let go of his hand.

"Do you mean that? You want to marry me?"

"Of course I do."

"Finish that letter, Daemon." I motioned to the letter, and got up. I placed my hand on his shoulder as he added my words to the letter. He finished the letter, and sealed it with the wax.

He got up, and took my hands again. I looked at him like he was the only person in the world. And he was the most important person in the world to me. He kissed them both before kissing my lips. It started out a soft kiss, full of love and tenderness. Once my hands made their way up his chest to his neck, our lips began to make more hasty decisions. The kiss became desperate and full of passion. His hands found my hips and pushed me into the wall. When we separated for air, he kissed my nose.

Our labored breathing covered the sounds of the waves against the side of the castle. I started to peck his lips every few seconds, and he dug his fingertips into my hips.

"I think we should start on that heir." Daemon whispered. I kissed him as he picked me up, kissing me all the way to the room.
