Ainslee knew how Iain was blaming himself for the crash. She knew he had been struggling with all that had happened. He hadn't slept and Ainslee was worried.

He hadn't seen Ebony at the hospital since the accident. But Ainslee knew he was finding it hard. He couldn't sit with Ebony knowing that he felt like he was to blame for the crash.

The police had got the guy who caused the crash and he was awaiting court. Ainslee wanted him to be locked up and the key thrown away.

Ainslee hated how her whole life could have been flipped upside down. How she could have lost both Iain and Ebony.

It was hard to think about knowing how close she had come to losing her little girl. Things were hard. And she felt bad for Iain.

She just wanted things to be how they used to before the crash. Iain was a shell of his former self. And Ainslee hated it.

She hated that things had so drastically changed. She wanted to be happy again. But she wasn't.

All she knew was that it wasn't easy. And something needed to happen for Iain to see he wasn't to blame.

Morning came and Ainslee walked into the living room. Iain was sitting on the sofa.  She looked to him and smiled. "Are you okay?" She asked.

"Stupid question."

Ainslee sighed as she looked to him. "I don't know. Look, do you not think Ebony needs to see you? She's coming home today. So we need to make out it's okay," she told him.

Iain shook his head. "It's not okay though. Is it? You and I both know it's not okay. It's far from okay. I crashed my car with my daughter in it."

"Someone else caused the crash! I don't know how many more times we have to go over this," she said.

Iain said nothing as he stood up and walked off. He was blaming himself. And nothing would change that.

Ainslee just wanted things to be okay. But it wasn't. It wasn't going to be okay for a long time.

Ainslee went to work. She knew Ebony was with Hannah. She was thankful to her sister for being there for her little girl.

She walked up to ebony's room. She was watching tv with Hannah. She smiled. "Mummy!"

"Hi my little love. Are you excited to come home?" She asked.

Ebony giggled and nodded. She smiled. "I see daddy!" She said. She was excited to see her daddy. "Why daddy no see me?"

Ainslee smiled. "He's been busy baby. But you'll see him today when you go home," she said.

Ebony giggled. She looked to Hannah. "You take me shopping with uncle Sam's credit card?" She asked.

Hannah nodded and grinned. "Course I will sweetie pie. We can spend his money on toys!"

"Yay!"

Ainslee smiled. Thankful that Ebony wasn't alone. That she had the best family possible.

Ainslee pulled up outside the house. Ebony was bouncing in her seat with excitement. Ainslee picked her up and they walked inside. "Daddy! I home!" Ebony called out.

Ainslee put her down and frowned. She saw a piece of paper on the table. She picked it up.

"Sorry. I can't be there knowing I almost killed her. Tell Ebony I'm sorry"

Ainslee felt sick. She looked to her little girl and felt her heart break. Iain had left. And she had no idea if she was going to see him again.
